Tests for geometrical properties of aggregates - Part 3: Determination of particle shape - Flakiness index

This European Standard describes the reference method, used for type testing and in case of dispute, for determination of the flakiness index of aggregates. For other purposes, in particular production control, other methods may be used, provided that an appropriate working relationship with the reference method has been established.
This European Standard applies to natural, manufactured or recycled aggregates.

Diese Europäische Norm beschreibt das Referenzverfahren, das für die Typprüfung und im Streitfall für die
Bestimmung der Plattigkeitskennzahl von Gesteinskörnungen angewendet wird. Für andere Zwecke, speziell
im Rahmen der werkseigenen Produktionskontrolle, dürfen andere Verfahren angewendet werden, sofern ein
ausreichender Zusammenhang mit dem Referenzverfahren nachgewiesen wurde.
Diese Europäische Norm gilt für Gesteinskörnungen, die natürlicher, künstlicher (industrieller) Herkunft oder
aus recyclierten Stoffen hergestellt sind.
Das in diesem Teil der Europäischen Norm festgelegte Verfahren gilt nicht für Korngrößen < 4 mm oder
> 100 mm.

La présente Norme européenne décrit la méthode de référence servant aux essais de type initiaux et, en cas de désaccord, à la détermination du coefficient d’aplatissement des granulats. Pour les besoins du contrôle de la production en particulier, d’autres méthodes peuvent être utilisées sous réserve qu’une corrélation appropriée avec la méthode de référence  ait été établie.
La présente Norme européenne s’applique à des agrégats naturels, artificiels ou recyclés.
Le mode opératoire de l'essai indiqué dans cette partie de la norme européenne ne s'applique pas aux particules de dimension inférieure à 4 mm ou supérieure à 100 mm.

Ta evropski standard opisuje referenčno metodo, ki se uporablja za tipsko preskušanje in v primeru spora za določevanje modula ploščatosti agregatov. Za druge namene, zlasti za kontrolo proizvodnje, se lahko uporabijo druge metode, če obstaja primerna delovna povezava z referenčno metodo. EN 933-3:2012 (E) 3 Foreword This document (EN 933-3:2012) has been prepared by Technical Committee CEN/TC 154 “Aggregates”, the secretariat of which is held by BSI. This European Standard shall be given the status of a national standard, either by publication of an identical text or by endorsement, at the latest by July 2012, and conflicting national standards shall be withdrawn at the latest by July 2012. Attention is drawn to the possibility that some of the elements of this document may be the subject of patent rights.
