Adhesives - Determination of shear strength of anaerobic adhesives using pin-and-collar specimens (ISO 10123:1990 modified)
This European Standard specifies a method for the determination of the shear strength of anaerobic-curing liquid adhesives used for retaining cylindrical assemblies pin-and-collar type, or for locking and sealing threaded fasteners.
This test method may also be used for other adhesives.
The test is for ranking and quality control of adhesives. The result does not necessarily reflect the performance of the materials in service and the test is not suitable for providing numerical data for design purposes.
NOTE Numerical design data may be obtained from tests using the materials and configurations used in the actual structure.

La présente Norme européenne décrit une méthode permettant de déterminer la résistance au cisaillement des adhésifs liquides a durcissement de type anaérobie utilisés pour maintenir des assemblages cylindriques, type axe-bague, ou pour bloquer et étanchéifier des assemblages vissés.
Cette méthode d'essai peut également etre utilisée pour d'autres adhésifs.
Cet essai vise a classer les adhésifs et a contrôler leur qualité. Le résultat ne reflete pas nécessairement la performance des matériaux en service et cet essai n'est pas adapté pour fournir des données numériques pour des besoins de conception.
NOTE Des données numériques utiles pour la conception peuvent etre obtenus a partir d'essais faisant appel aux matériaux et aux configurations utilisées dans la structure réelle.
