This Specification defines dimensions, physical properties and special requirements for Tensional Steel Strapping used for lifting, lashing and securing of loads.  This steel strapping forms part of a complete system of equipment, seals and strapping and shall be used according to the instructions issued by the manufacturer, which incorporate all the system requirements.

Umreifungsband aus Stahl fest, das zum Heben, Binden und Sichern von Ladungen verwendet wird.
Dieses Stahlband ist Teil eines kompletten Systems von Ausrüstungen, Hülsen und Bändern und muss
gemäß den Richtlinien des Herstellers benutzt werden, die alle Anforderungen des Systems beinhalten.
ANMERKUNG Technische Sicherheitsvorschriften der einzelnen Mitgliedstaaten sollten berücksichtigt werden.

1 Domaine d'application
La présente norme spécifie les dimensions, les propriétés physiques ainsi que des prescriptions particulières relatives aux cerclages d'acier utilisés pour le levage, l'arrimage et la fixation des charges.
Ces cerclages d'acier font partie intégrante d'un système complet d'équipements, de fermetures et de bandes de serrage, et doivent être utilisés conformément aux instructions du fabricant qui comprennent toutes les prescriptions relatives à ce système.
NOTE   Il convient de prendre en compte les réglementations techniques de sécurité des Etats Membres.
