If necessary, the trees can be felledwhen the sap is high provided that the necessary measures are taken to avoid pre-treatmentdecay or attack by insects. These measures shall be agreed between supplier and buyer.In 6.1, the references have to be corrected as follows:6.1 Strength reducing characteristicsPoles shall be selected to an agreed standard or specification, which shall include definitionof the characteristics in 6.2 and 6.3. The requirements of 6.2 are fixed and those of 6.3 arevariable. Where limits are given in section 6.2 more stringent limits than the values givenmay be specified.
