This document specifies the required characteristics for heat-shrinkable limited fire hazard identification sleeves for use in aircraft electrical systems at operating temperatures between −30 °C and 105 °C.
This document is for the characterization of identification sleeves only. This sleeving is flexible, flame retarded and emits minimum smoke, gases and corrosive by-products when exposed to fire. It is suitable for use in areas where smoke, gases or corrosive by-products would constitute a particular hazard.
It is available with a shrink ratio of 2:1.
The product is normally supplied with internal diameters up to 51 mm.
The standard colours are white or yellow.
Sizes or colours other than those specifically listed in this document can be available. These items are considered to comply with this standard if they comply with the property requirements listed in Tables 2 and 3 except for dimensions and mass.
As the sleeving to be tested is a printed article, the complete system is to be recorded as part of the evaluation. The sleeve will only be considered as meeting the requirements of this specification if printed with the printer, ribbon, inks and settings referenced within the test report.
Mark adherence and print permanence are determined in this specification using method EN 6059-407.

Le présent document spécifie les caractéristiques requises pour les manchons d’identification à risque d'incendie limité destinés à une utilisation dans les systèmes électriques des aéronefs à des températures de fonctionnement comprises entre -40 °C et 105 °C.
Ce document est uniquement destiné à la caractérisation des manchons d’identification. Ce type de manchon est flexible, ignifugé et émet des fumées, des gaz et des sous-produits corrosifs minimaux quand il est exposé au feu. Il est adapté à une utilisation dans les zones où des fumées, des gaz et des sous-produits corrosifs peuvent représenter un risque spécifique.
Il est proposé avec un coefficient de rétreint de 2:1.
Le produit est normalement fourni avec des diamètres intérieurs allant jusqu’à 51 mm.
Les couleurs usuelles sont le blanc ou le jaune.
D’autres tailles ou d’autres couleurs que celles mentionnées spécifiquement dans la présente norme peuvent être disponibles. Ces articles doivent être considérés comme conformes à la présente norme s’ils répondent aux exigences de propriétés présentées dans le Tableau 2 et le Tableau 3, exception faite des dimensions et masses.
