Gypsum plasterboard products from processing - Definitions, requirements and test methods

This European Standard specifies the characteristics and performance of products which have been produced by reprocessing gypsum boards manufactured according to EN 520, EN 15283 1 and EN 15283 2. Reprocessing may include cutting, perforating, edge profiling, decorating and laminating membranes of other materials for functional or decorative purposes, attaching fixings including supports e.g. for partitions. Examples of reprocessing operations are given in Annex B.
The products are intended for use in wall, ceiling and floor applications, where they may be fixed directly to the background, or they are used in systems assembled in conjunction with the structure to form separate or suspended linings. The products can be customized to fit the intended application offering a wide range of aesthetic, functional and decorative solutions of modular or non-modular design.
This European Standard does not cover gypsum board thermal/acoustic insulation composite panels according to EN 13950 and prefabricated gypsum board panels with a cellular paperboard core according to EN 13915.

Diese Europäische Norm legt die Eigenschaften und Leistungsmerkmale von Produkten fest, die durch die Weiterverarbeitung von Gipsplatten nach EN 520, EN 15283-1 und EN 15283-2 hergestellt wurden. Unter Weiterverarbeitung wird Schneiden, Lochen, Profilieren von Kanten, Dekorieren und Laminieren mit Membranen aus anderen Werkstoffen zu Funktions- oder Dekorationszwecken sowie das Anbringen von Befestigungen einschließlich Auflagern, z. B. für Trennwände, verstanden. Beispiele für die Verfahren für die Weiter¬verarbeitung sind in Anhang B enthalten.
Die Produkte sind für die Verwendung in Wänden, Decken und Fußböden vorgesehen. Sie können unmittelbar am Untergrund befestigt werden oder in Systemen verwendet werden, die in Verbindung mit dem Bauwerk hergestellt werden, um freistehende oder abgehängte Bekleidungen zu bilden. Die Produkte können individuell für den vorgesehenen Verwendungszweck angepasst werden, sodass eine große Auswahl an ästhetischen, funktionalen und dekorativen Lösungen für die modulare oder nichtmodulare Gestaltung möglich ist.
Diese Europäische Norm gilt nicht für Gipsplatten-Verbundplatten zur Wärme- und Schalldämmung nach EN 13950 oder für Gipsplatten-Wandbaufertigtafeln mit einem Kartonwabenkern nach EN 13915.

La présente Norme européenne spécifie les caractéristiques et les performances des produits élaborés par transformation secondaire de plaques de plâtre fabriquées selon l’EN 520, l’EN 15283-1 et l’EN 15283-2. La transformation secondaire peut inclure la découpe, la perforation, le profilage des bords, la décoration et l’adjonction de revêtements minces faits à l’aide d’autres matériaux à des fins fonctionnelles ou décoratives, la pose de fixations, y compris, par exemple, les supports de panneaux de cloison. Des exemples d’opérations de transformation secondaire sont donnés dans l’Annexe B.
Ces produits sont destinés à être utilisés pour le revêtement des murs, des plafonds et des sols, sur lesquels ils peuvent être fixés directement, ou dans des systèmes assemblés aux éléments structuraux pour former des revêtements séparés ou suspendus. Ils peuvent être personnalisés pour répondre à l’application prévue en offrant un large éventail de solutions esthétiques, fonctionnelles et décoratives de conception modulaire ou non.
La présente Norme européenne ne couvre ni les complexes d’isolation thermique/acoustique en plaques de plâtre décrits dans l’EN 13950, ni les panneaux de cloison préfabriqués en plaques de plâtre à âme cellulaire en carton décrits dans l’EN 13915.

Standard 14190 določa značilnosti in zmogljivosti izdelkov, ki so bili proizvedeni z reciklažo mavčnih plošč, izdelanih v skladu s standardi EN 520, EN 15283-1 in EN 15283-2. Reciklaža lahko zajema rezanje, luknjanje, profiliranje robov, krašenje in lameliranje membran drugih materialov za funkcionalne ali okrasne namene, pritrjevanje pritrditev, vključno s podporami za npr. plošče. Primeri reciklažnih postopkov so podani v Prilogi B. Izdelki so namenjeni za uporabo v stenskih, stropnih in talnih aplikacijah, kjer se lahko pritrdijo neposredno v ozadje, ali pa se uporabljajo v sistemih, sestavljenih v povezavi s strukturo, za oblikovanje samostojnih ali spuščenih oblog. Izdelke je mogoče prilagoditi, da ustrezajo predvideni uporabi, ki ponuja širok nabor estetskih, funkcionalnih in dekorativnih rešitev modularne ali nemodularne zasnove. EN 14190:2014 - published by CEN - defines gypsum board products from reprocessing: boards originally manufactured to EN 520 or EN 15283 (parts 1 and 2) that have been altered by cutting, perforating, edge profiling, decorating, laminating membranes, adding fixings/supports, or similar secondary processes. The standard specifies the characteristics, performance requirements and test methods for these reprocessed products intended for wall, ceiling and floor applications (direct-fixed or part of assembled systems). www.manufacturers_internet_address.com 4 Requirements 4.1 Mechanical characteristics 4.1.1 Flexural strength (expressed as flexural breaking load) All gypsum boards used to manufacture the products described in this document shall meet the breaking load requirements given in the relevant standards. 4.1.2 Stability of ceiling elements When the products from reprocessing are self-supported elements, incorporating integral fixings the load supported by the product shall be at least 5 times the dead load of the product. All three samples shall pass the test in accordance with 5.2. 4.1.3 Shear strength (strength of board/substructure connection) When the intended use of the products from reprocessing is stiffening timber framed building assemblies (i.e. walls, roof truss structures etc.) the conventional shear strength of the product shall be determined in accordance with the test method described in the relevant standards EN 520, EN 15283-1 and EN 15283-2. When the secondary processing does not lead to a loss of strength, the shear strength of the gypsum board provided by the manufacturer may be used. 4.1.4 Impact resistance NOTE Impact resistance is a characteristic dependent on an assembled system and not of the product in isolation. When required, the impact resistance of a system including gypsum board shall be determined in accordance with ISO 7892. SIST EN 14190:2014
