This document specifies a method of estimating the loss of absorptive power of anodic oxidation
coatings that have undergone a sealing treatment, by dye absorption after acid pretreatment.
The method is suitable for use as a production control method and can be applicable to anodic oxidation
coatings which may be subjected to weathering or aggressive environments, or where resistance to
staining is important.
The method is not applicable to those coatings that
a) are formed on alloys containing more than 2 % copper or 4 % silicon,
b) are sealed by the dichromate process,
c) have been given supplementary processing, e.g. oiling, waxing or lacquering,
d) are coloured in deep shades, and
e) are less than 3 μm thickness.
The method is less appropriate where nickel or cobalt salts, or organic additives, have been added to
baths used for hydrothermal sealing.

Dieses Dokument legt ein Verfahren zur Abschätzung der Anfärbbarkeit von verdichteten anodisch erzeugten Oxidschichten durch den Farbtropfentest mit vorheriger Säurebehandlung fest.
Das Verfahren ist zur Produktionsüberwachung geeignet und kann auf anodisch erzeugte Oxidschichten angewandt werden, die einer Bewitterung oder aggressiven Umwelteinflüssen ausgesetzt sein können oder bei denen eine Widerstandsfähigkeit gegenüber Fleckenbildung wichtig ist.
Das Verfahren ist nicht auf Schichten anwendbar, die
a) auf Legierungen, die mehr als 2 % Kupfer oder 4 % Silicium enthalten, erzeugt wurden,
b) in Dichromatlösungen verdichtet wurden,
c) einer zusätzlichen Behandlung unterzogen wurden, z. B. Einölen, Einwachsen oder Lackieren,
d) in dunklen Farbtönen eingefärbt sind und
e) eine Schichtdicke von weniger als 3 μm aufweisen.
Das Verfahren ist weniger geeignet, wenn den für die hydrothermale Verdichtung verwendeten Bädern Nickel- oder Cobaltsalze oder organische Zusätze zugesetzt wurden.

L'ISO 2143 spécifie une méthode permettant d'apprécier la perte de pouvoir absorbant des couches anodiques ayant subi un traitement de colmatage, par un essai de coloration à la suite d'un prétraitement à l'acide.
Cette méthode convient au contrôle de production et peut être appliquée aux couches anodiques susceptibles d'être soumises aux intempéries ou à des milieux agressifs, ou lorsque la résistance aux taches est importante.
La méthode n'est pas applicable aux couches qui:
a) se forment sur les alliages contenant plus de 2 % de cuivre ou de 4 % de silicium;
b) sont colmatées dans des solutions contenant du dichromate;
c) ont subi un traitement supplémentaire, par exemple application d'huile, de cire ou de vernis;
d) sont de couleur foncée; et
e) ont une épaisseur inférieure à 3 µm.
La méthode convient moins bien lorsque des sels de nickel ou de cobalt, ou des additifs organiques ont été ajoutés aux bains utilisés pour le colmatage hydrothermique.

Ta dokument določa metodo ocenjevanja izgube moči absorbirnosti anodno oksidiranih prevlek po tesnjenju por na podlagi absorpcije barvila po predhodni obdelavi s kislino.
Metoda je primerna za uporabo kot metoda kontrole proizvodnje in se lahko uporablja za anodno oksidirane prevleke, ki so lahko izpostavljene vremenskemu staranju ali agresivnim okoljem, ali kadar je pomembna odpornost na obarvanje.
Metoda se ne uporablja za prevleke:
a) ki nastanejo na zlitinah, ki vsebujejo več kot 2 % bakra ali 4 % silicija;
b) ki so zatesnjene s postopkom dikromiranja;
c) ki so dodatno obdelane (npr. z oljem, voskom ali lakom);

This document (EN ISO 2143:2017) has been prepared by Technical Committee ISO/TC 79 “Light

metals and their alloys” in collaboration with Technical Committee CEN/TC 132 “Aluminium and

aluminium alloys” the secretariat of which is held by AFNOR.

identical text or by endorsement, at the latest by May 2018, and conflicting national standards shall be
