This Part of prEN 12318 specifies the general aspects of crosslinked polyethylene (PE-X) piping systems intended to be used for hot and cold water installations within buildings for the conveyance of water, whether or not intended for human consumption (domestic systems), and for heating systems, under design operating pressures and temperatures appropriate to the class of application (see table 1 of prEN 12318-1:1999). This standard covers a range of service conditions, (application classes), design pressures and pipe dimension classes.

Dieser Teil der EN (155wi023) legt die Anforderungen an Rohre aus vernetztem Polyethylen (PE-X) für die Verlegung von Warm- und Kaltwasserleitungen innerhalb und im Umfeld von Gebäuden (Hausinstallations- und Heizungssyteme) fest, für den Transport von Wasser, welches entweder für den menschlichen Gebrauch bestimmt ist oder nicht, unter Betriebsdrücken und Temperaturen entsprechend der Anwendungsklasse. Hier werden auch die Prüfparameter für die Prüfverfahren festgelegt, auf die in dieser Norm verwiesen wird.

La présente partie de l'EN (155wi023) spécifie les caractéristiques des tubes en polyéthylene réticulé (PE-X) pour les systemes de canalisations destinés aux installations d'eau chaude et froide a l'intérieur et aux environs des constructions (systemes domestiques) et pour les systemes destinés au transport d'eau destinée ou non a la consommation humaine sous une pression et une température appropriées conformément a la classe d'application. Elle spécifie aussi les parametres d'essai pour les méthodes d'essai auxquelles il e est fait référence dans la présente norme.
