Respiratory protective devices - Nomenclature of components

This document specifies the nomenclature for typical components of respiratory protective devices. It does not specify which or how many components are used and where they are located in the apparatus.
The illustrations used are given as examples only for the identification of the different parts and the corresponding terms for facilitating the application. The terms and definitions used are given in EN ISO 16972:2020 and EN 135:1998.
The terms are given in the three official CEN languages.

Atemschutzgeräte - Benennungen von Einzelteilen

Dieses Dokument legt die Nomenklatur für typische Komponenten von Atemschutzgeräten fest. Es legt nicht fest, welche oder wie viele Bauteile verwendet werden und wo sie im Gerät angeordnet sind.
Die verwendeten Abbildungen dienen nur als Beispiele für die Identifizierung der verschiedenen Teile und der entsprechenden Begriffe zur Erleichterung der Anwendung. Die verwendeten Begriffe und Definitionen sind in EN ISO 16972:2020 und EN 135:1998 angegeben.
Die Begriffe sind in den drei offiziellen CEN-Sprachen angegeben.

Les dessins figurant dans cette norme sont seulement des exemples destinés à l'identification des différents composants et des termes correspondants pour faciliter l'application. Les termes et définitions utilisés sont donnés dans l'EN ISO 16972:2020 et l'EN 135:1998.

protective devices”, the secretariat of which is held by DIN.
This document is currently submitted to the CEN Enquiry.
