Respiratory protective devices - Particle filters - Requirements, testing, marking
This European Standard specifies particle filters for use as components in unassisted respiratory protective devices with the exception of escape apparatus and filtering facepieces. Laboratory tests are included for the assessment of compliance with the requirements. Some filters complying with this European Standard may also be suitable for use with other types of respiratory protective devices and, if so, shall be tested and marked according to the appropriate European Standard.

Diese Europäische Norm gilt für Partikelfilter als Bestandteile von Atemschutzgeräten ohne Luftversorgung. Sie gilt nicht für Fluchgeräte und filtrierende Atemanschlüsse. Laborprüfungen sind enthalten, um die Übereinstimmung mit den Anforderungen feststellen zu können. Einige Filter, die dieser Europäischen Norm entsprechen, können auch für andere Typen von Atemschutzgeräten geeignet sein. Falls dies zutrifft, müssen sie gemäß der entsprechenden Europäischen Norm geprüft und gekennzeichnet sein.

La présente norme européenne spécifie des filtres a particules utilisés comme composants des appareils de protection respiratoire non assistés a l'exception des appareils destinés a l'évacuation et des pieces faciales filtrantes. Elle contient des essais en laboratoire pour assurer la conformité avec les exigences. Certains filtres conformes a la présente norme européenne peuvent également etre utilisés avec d'autres types d'appareils de protection respiratoire et, dans ce cas, ils doivent etre essayés et marqués selon la norme européenne appropriée.
