This document is a guide that describes a procedure:
   to verify the degree of misalignment of the load train of the test machines using a reference test specimen uniformly loaded in tension or in compression;
   to give indications in order to correct defects such as torsion and bending.
This document is not intended to provide a quantitative and acceptable limit, before the testing of ceramic matrix composites with a fibre reinforcement: unidirectional (1D), bidirectional (2D) and tridirectional (xD, with 2 < x  3) loaded along one principle axis of reinforcement. This limit depends on the sensitivity of each type of composite to the misalignment defect.
NOTE 1   This limit is to be defined between the testing establishment and the customer.
NOTE 2   Monolithic ceramics are very sensitive to misalignment defects, while CMCs (ceramic matrix composite) in general are moderately sensitive to them.

Dieses Dokument enthält eine Anleitung für ein Verfahren, das angewendet wird, um den Grad der Fehlausrichtung (die Größe des Fluchtungsfehlers) des Kraft¬einleitungssystems einer Prüfmaschine zu überprüfen, indem eine Referenzprobe einer gleichmäßigen Zug  oder Druckbeanspruchung ausgesetzt wird; das Hinweise zur Korrektur von Fehlern gibt, z. B. von Torsions  und Biegefehlern.
In diesem Dokument wird keine quantitative Grenze und keine Annahmegrenze für Fluchtungsfehler angegeben, bevor Verbundwerkstoffe mit keramischer Matrix und unidirektionaler (1D), bidirektionaler (2D) sowie dreidirektionaler (xD, mit 2 < x  3) Faserverstärkung einer Prüfung unter einer Beanspruchung entlang einer der Verstärkungshauptachsen unterzogen werden. Diese Grenze hängt von der Empfindlichkeit des jeweiligen Verbundwerkstoffs gegenüber Fluchtungsfehlern ab.
ANMERKUNG 1   Diese Grenze ist zwischen Prüfstelle und Kunden zu vereinbaren.
ANMERKUNG 2   Gegenüber Fluchtungsfehlern sind monolithische Keramiken sehr empfindlich, während CMC’s (Verbundwerkstoffe mit keramischer Matrix) im Allgemeinen eine nur mäßige Empfindlichkeit zeigen.

Le présent document est un guide décrivant une procédure :
- permettant de vérifier le degré de désalignement du système de mise en charge des machines d'essai au
moyen d’une éprouvette d'essai de référence subissant une tension ou une compression uniforme ;
- donnant des indications permettant de corriger des défauts tels que la torsion et la flexion.
Il n’est pas conçu pour fournir une limite quantitative acceptable avant les essais sur les composites à matrice
céramique avec un renfort de fibres : unidirectionnel (1D), bidirectionnel (2D) et tridirectionnel (xD, avec
2 < x ≤ 3) le long d’un axe principal de renfort. Cette limite dépend de la sensibilité de chaque type de
composite au défaut de désalignement.
NOTE 1 Cette limite est à définir entre l’établissement d’essai et le client.
NOTE 2 Les céramiques monolithiques sont très sensibles aux défauts de désalignement, tandis que les CMC
(composites à matrice céramique) y sont généralement modérément sensibles.

1 Scope
This Technical Specification provides guidance on:
 verifying the degree of misalignment of the load train of test machines, using a reference test specimen
uniformly loaded in tension or in compression;
 correcting for defects caused by, e.g. torsion and bending.
This document is not intended to provide a quantitative and acceptable limit before the testing of ceramic
