La présente partie de l’EN 335 définit cinq classes d’emploi qui correspondent aux différentes situations en
service auxquelles peuvent etre exposés le bois et les produits a base de bois. Cette partie de l’EN 335
indique également les agents biologiques correspondant a chaque situation.
L’Annexe A donne des informations sur ces agents biologiques.

Ta del standarda EN 335 določa pet razredov uporabe, ki ustrezajo različnim razmeram, kjer se lahko uporabljajo les in lesni izdelki. V standardu so opisani tudi lesni škodljivci, ki najpogosteje ogrožajo les v posameznem razredu uporabe.
Informacije o najpomembnejših lesnih škodljivcih so zbrane v dodatku A.

EN 335-1:2006 (E) 3 Foreword This document (EN 335-1:2006) has been prepared by Technical Committee CEN/TC 038 “Durability of wood and derived materials ”, the secretariat of which is held by AFNOR. This European Standard shall be given the status of a national standard, either by publication of an identical text or by endorsement, at the latest by February 2007, and conflicting national standards shall be withdrawn at the latest by February 2007. This document supersedes EN 335-1:1992. EN 335 is divided in three parts, Part 1 gives general definitions of use classes in different service situations, Part 2 concerns their application to solid wood and Part 3 concerns their application to wood-based panels The revision of EN 335-1 is in general accordance with ISO 21887 (in preparation). Introduction The classes described in this part of EN 335 are based on an existing classification agreed on by the European Homologation Committee (EHC) in 1981 and published in the EHC reference document in 1984. Proposals for altering the five classes of EHC classification have been considered, particularly the possibility of harmonisation with other classes used outside Europe. It has, however, been judged that five classes are the most appropriate solution to European conditions. The possibility of harmonisation between the three moisture categories of Eurocode 5 (EN 1995-1-1) and the five classes of all parts of EN 335 has been carefully studied. The latter have been adjusted as far as possible. Nevertheless it is important to note that the two systems use different criteria to achieve different results. Any user can use the appropriate part of EN 335 to identify the "use class" of a given service environment and geographical location. Table 1 will assist in determining the biological agents that can attack timber in certain situations. The user can then consider the type and duration of performance required, select an appropriate level of durability and ensure that the timber or wood-based product specified has either, as a natural (see EN 350-2) or an acquired characteristic durability as the result of appropriate preservative treatment (see EN 351-1). NOTE At the moment EN 350-2 only gives information regarding solid wood. EN 351-1 considers only the performance of preservative-treated solid wood.

NACIONALNI PREDGOVOR
Evropski standard EN 335-1:2006 je pripravil tehnični odbor Evropskega komiteja za standardizacijo
CEN/TC 38 Trajnost lesa in lesnih proizvodov, katerega tajništvo je v pristojnosti AFNOR.
Slovenski standard SIST EN 335-1 je prevod evropskega standarda EN 335-1:2006. V primeru spora
glede besedila slovenskega prevoda v tem standardu je odločilen izvirni evropski standard v
angleškem jeziku. Slovensko izdajo standarda je pripravil tehnični odbor SIST/TC ZAL Zaščita lesa.
ZVEZA Z NACIONALNIMI STANDARDI
V standardu SIST EN 335-1 pomeni sklicevanje na evropske in mednarodne standarde, ki je vključeno

OPOMBE

Predgovor
Ta standard (EN 335-1:2006) je pripravil tehnični odbor CEN/TC 38 Trajnost lesa in lesnih proizvodov.
Tajništvo tega tehničnega odbora deluje v okviru organizacije AFNOR.
Ta evropski standard mora dobiti status nacionalnega standarda z objavo istovetnega besedila ali z
razglasitvijo najpozneje do februarja 2007, nacionalne standarde, ki so v nasprotju s tem standardom,
pa je treba umakniti najpozneje do februarja 2007.
Ta dokument nadomešča standard EN 335-1:1992.
Standard EN 335 je sestavljen iz treh delov. V prvem delu so navedene splošne definicije razredov
uporabe glede na različne načine oziroma mesto uporabe. Drugi del se nanaša na uporabo
masivnega lesa, tretji pa na uporabo lesnih ploščnih kompozitov.
Revidirani standard EN 335-1 je skladen z zahtevami standarda ISO 21887 (v pripravi).
OPOMBA: Uporabniki tega standarda morajo biti pozorni na druge sisteme razvrščanja lesa v razrede uporabe, ki ne
sovpadajo z razdelitvijo, določeno v tem delu standarda EN 335, da ne pride do pomote.
V skladu z notranjimi predpisi CEN/CENELEC morajo ta evropski standard obvezno uvesti nacionalne
organizacije za standardizacijo naslednjih držav: Avstrije, Belgije, Cipra, Češke republike, Danske,
Estonije, Finske, Francije, Grčije, Irske, Islandije, Italije, Latvije, Litve, Luksemburga, Madžarske,

Uvod
Razredi, opisani v tem delu standarda EN 335, temeljijo na obstoječi razvrstitvi, ki jo je pripravil
evropski odbor EHC (European Homologation Committee) leta 1981 in jo objavil v referenčnem
dokumentu EHC leta 1984.
Avtorji tega standarda so razmišljali tudi o možnosti spremembe števila obstoječih razredov uporabe.
Glavni namen te revizije je bil uskladiti evropski sistem razredov uporabe s sistemi, ki se uporabljajo
po svetu. Člani tehničnega odbora so presodili, da pet razredov uporabe povsem ustreza razmeram v
Evropi.
Posebna pozornost je namenjena možnostim uskladitve med razvrstitvijo lesa v tri razrede
uporabnosti glede na vlažnost lesa, kot jo predpisuje evrokod 5 (EN 1995-1-1), in v pet razredov
uporabe, opisanimi v vseh delih standarda EN 335. Omenjeni razredi so bili usklajeni, kolikor je bilo to
mogoče. Kakorkoli, upoštevati je treba dejstvo, da zgoraj omenjena standarda uporabljata različna
merila za doseganje različnih ciljev.
Vsak uporabnik lahko uporabi ustrezen del standarda EN 335 za identifikacijo »razreda uporabe«
glede na mesto uporabe in geografski položaj. Preglednica 1 pripomore k lažjemu določanju
potencialnih biotskih dejavnikov razkroja, ki lahko okužijo ali napadejo les na posameznem mestu
uporabe. Na podlagi teh podatkov in podatkov o pričakovani življenjski dobi lahko uporabnik izbere les
z ustrezno odpornostjo. Ustrezna odpornost se lahko doseže s pravo izbiro naravno odpornega lesa
(glej EN 350-2) ali z uporabo ustreznih postopkov zaščite lesa (glej EN 351-1).
OPOMBA: Trenutno so v standardu EN 350-2 na voljo le informacije za masivni les, standard EN 351-1 pa obravnava le
zahteve, ki se nanašajo na kakovost masivnega lesa, zaščitenega z biocidnimi proizvodi.

1 Področje uporabe

Ta del standarda EN 335 določa pet razredov uporabe, ki ustrezajo različnim razmeram, kjer se lahko
