This document specifies an accelerated ageing/conditioning procedure for bituminous binders. The procedure involves ageing trays of binder at elevated temperatures under pressurized conditions in a pressure ageing vessel (PAV).
NOTE For binders to be used in hot asphalt applications, the pre-conditioning of the sample can be performed using one of the methods in the EN 12607 series. For binders to be used in bituminous emulsion and cut-back or fluxed applications, the stabilizing of the sample is such that there are no volatiles remaining.

Bitumen und bitumenhaltige Bindemittel - Beschleunigte Langzeitalterung mit einem Druckalterungsbehälter (PAV)
Dieses Dokument legt ein Konditionierungsverfahren mit beschleunigter Alterung/Konditionierung für bitumenhaltige Bindemittel fest. Das Verfahren beschreibt die Alterung von Bindemitteln in Schalen bei erhöhten Temperaturen in einem Druckalterungsbehälter (PAV, en: pressure ageing vessel) unter Überdruck-Bedingungen.
ANMERKUNG Bei Bindemitteln, die für Heißasphaltanwendungen vorgesehen sind, kann die Vorbehandlung der Probe nach einem der in EN 12607 festgelegten Verfahren erfolgen. Bei Bindemitteln, die in Anwendungen mit Bitumenemulsionen und verschnittenen oder gefluxten Bitumen verwendet werden sollen, erfolgt die Stabilisierung der Probe so, dass keine flüchtigen Bestandteile zurückbleiben.
WARNUNG - Die Anwendung dieses Dokuments kann den Umgang mit gefährlichen Substanzen und Ausrüstungsteilen – speziell die Verwendung eines Hochdruckalterungsbehälters – und die Ausführung gefährlicher Arbeitsgänge einschließen. Le présent document décrit une méthode de vieillissement/conditionnement accéléré pour les liants bitumineux. La méthode consiste à faire vieillir le liant, épandu sur des coupelles, en le soumettant à des températures élevées et sous pression, le tout dans un récipient sous pression adapté (PAV).
NOTE Pour les liants destinés à être utilisés dans des applications d'enrobés à chaud, le pré-conditionnement de l’échantillon peut être effectué selon une des méthodes de la série des EN 12607. Pour les liants destinés à être utilisés dans des émulsions bitumineuses et des applications de liants fluidifiés ou fluxés, la stabilisation de l’échantillon est réalisée de sorte à ce que plus aucun composé volatil ne soit présent.

Ta dokument določa postopek pospešenega staranja in pogoje za bitumenska veziva. Postopek zajema staranje vložkov veziva pri zvišanih temperaturah pri tlačnih pogojih v tlačnih posodi (PAV).
OPOMBA: Za veziva, ki se uporabljajo pri aplikacijah vročega asfalta, se lahko predhodna obdelava vzorca izvede z uporabo ene od metod iz skupine standardov EN 12607.
