Adhesives - T-peel test for flexible-to-flexible bonded assemblies (ISO 11339:2003)

This document specifies a T-peel test for the determination of the peel strength of an adhesive by measuring the peeling force of a T-shaped bonded assembly of two flexible adherends. This test procedure does not provide design information. - NOTE: This method was originally developed for use with metal adherends, but other flexible adherends may also be used.

Diese Internationale Norm legt eine T-Schälprüfung fest für die Bestimmung der Schälfestigkeit eines Klebstoffes durch Messung der Schälkraft einer T-förmigen Klebung zweier flexibler Fügeteile. Dieses Prüfverfahren liefert keine Informationen zur Konstruktion.
ANMERKUNG   Dieses Verfahren wurde ursprünglich für Metallfügeteile entwickelt. Andere flexible Fügeteile können ebenso verwendet werden.

Foreword


The text of ISO 11339:2003 has been prepared by Technical Committee ISO/TC TC 61 "Plastics"
of the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and has been taken over as EN ISO
11339:2005 by Technical Committee CEN/TC 193 "Adhesives", the secretariat of which is held by
AENOR.

This European Standard shall be given the status of a national standard, either by publication of
an identical text or by endorsement, at the latest by November 2005, and conflicting national
standards shall be withdrawn at the latest by November 2005.

This document supersedes EN 14173:2002.

According to the CEN/CENELEC Internal Regulations, the national standards organizations of the
following countries are bound to implement this European Standard: Austria, Belgium, Cyprus,
Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland,

Foreword
ISO (the International Organization for Standardization) is a worldwide federation of national standards bodies
(ISO member bodies). The work of preparing International Standards is normally carried out through ISO
technical committees. Each member body interested in a subject for which a technical committee has been
established has the right to be represented on that committee. International organizations, governmental and
non-governmental, in liaison with ISO, also take part in the work. ISO collaborates closely with the
International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) on all matters of electrotechnical standardization.
International Standards are drafted in accordance with the rules given in the ISO/IEC Directives, Part 2.
