FOREWORD
1) The International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) is a worldwide organization for standardization comprising
all national electrotechnical committees (IEC National Committees). The object of IEC is to promote international
co-operation on all questions concerning standardization in the electrical and electronic fields. To this end and

This This edition cancels and replaces IEC 61169-59:2017. This edition constitutes a
technical revision.
a) Use IEC 63138-1:2019 as its generic specification instead of using IEC 61169-1:2013;
b) All the sub-clauses and test methods are in line with IEC 63138-1:2019;
c) Dimension “g” in Table 3, Table 4, Table 7 and Table 8 have been changes from “0,00 min
to 0,8 max” to “1,60 min to 2,1 max”
