EN 60335-2-52:2003/A2:2023 is the CENELEC-adopted amendment to the European safety standard for household and similar electrical appliances - Part 2-52: Particular requirements for oral hygiene appliances (aligned with IEC 60335-2-52:2002/A2:2017). It supplements the general safety requirements of EN 60335-1 with specific rules for devices such as electric toothbrushes, oral irrigators and other oral hygiene appliances. This amendment focuses on safety tests, temperature-rise limits, and measurement methods for externally accessible surfaces.

This amendment A2 modifies the European Standard EN 60335-2-52:2003; it was approved by CENELEC on 2022-03-14. CENELEC
members are bound to comply with the CEN/CENELEC Internal Regulations which stipulate the conditions for giving this amendment the
status of a national standard without any alteration.
Up-to-date lists and bibliographical references concerning such national standards may be obtained on application to the CEN-CENELEC

This amendment exists in three official versions (English, French, German). A version in any other language made by translation under the
