Chemicals used for the treatment of swimming pool water - Iron based coagulants
This European Standard is applicable to iron based coagulants (iron (III) chloride, iron (III) chloride sulfate and iron (III) sulfate liquid) used directly or for the production of formulations for treatment of water for swimming pools. It describes the characteristics of iron based coagulants and specifies the requirements and the corresponding test methods for iron based coagulants. It gives information on their use in swimming pool water treatment. General information on iron based coagulants is given in Annex A. It also determines the rules relating to safe handling and use (see Annex B).

Eisen(III)-sulfat, flüssig), die direkt zur Aufbereitung von Schwimm- und Badebeckenwasser oder zur
Herstellung von Zubereitungen für diesen Zweck verwendet werden.
Es beschreibt die Eigenschaften von Flockungsmitteln auf Eisenbasis und legt die Anforderungen sowie die
entsprechenden Prüfverfahren für Flockungsmittel auf Eisenbasis fest. Es enthält Angaben zu deren Anwendung
in der Aufbereitung von Schwimm- und Badebeckenwasser. Allgemeine Angaben zu Flockungsmitteln
auf Eisenbasis sind in Anhang A enthalten.
Es legt darüber hinaus Regeln für die sichere Handhabung und Verwendung fest (siehe Anhang B).

Le présent document est applicables aux coagulants à base de fer (chlorure de fer (III), chlorosulfate de fer (III) et sulfate de fer (III) liquide) utilisés directement ou pour la production de formulations pour le traitement de l’eau des piscines.
Elle décrit les caractéristiques des coagulants à base de fer et spécifie les prescriptions et les méthodes d’essai correspondantes. Elle donne des informations pour leur utilisation dans le traitement de l’eau des piscines. Elle fixe également les règles relatives à la sécurité d’emploi et de manipulation (voir Annexe B).

Ta evropski standard se uporablja za sredstva za strjevanje na osnovi železa (železov (III) klorid, železov (III) klorid sulfat in železov (III) sulfat v tekočem stanju), ki se uporabljajo neposredno ali za proizvodnjo pripravkov za pripravo bazenske vode. Opisuje značilnosti sredstev za strjevanje na osnovi železa ter opredeljuje zahteve in ustrezne metode preskušanja za sredstva za strjevanje na osnovi železa. Podaja podatke o njihovi uporabi pri pripravi bazenske vode. Splošni podatki o sredstvih za strjevanje na osnovi železa so podani v Dodatku A. Prav tako opredeljuje pravila, ki se nanašajo na rokovanje in uporabo (glej Dodatek B).

1 Scope This European Standard is applicable to iron based coagulants (iron (III) chloride, iron (III) chloride sulfate and iron (III) sulfate liquid) used directly or for the production of formulations for treatment of water for swimming pools. It describes the characteristics of iron based coagulants and specifies the requirements and the corresponding test methods for iron based coagulants. General This document specifies the minimum purity requirements for iron based coagulants used for the treatment of water for swimming pools. Limits are given for impurities commonly present in the products. Depending on the raw material and the manufacturing process other impurities may be present and, if so, this shall be notified to the user and when necessary to relevant authorities. NOTE Users of these products should check the national regulations in order to clarify whether they are of appropriate purity for treatment of water for swimming pools, taking into account water quality, required dosage, contents of other impurities and additives used in these products not stated in these product standards.
