This document covers following phased array probes used for ultrasonic non-destructive testing in contact technique (with or without a wedge) or in immersion technique, with centre frequencies in the range 0,5 MHz – 10 MHz.

- encircling,
- 2D matrix,
- partial annular sectorial (Type “Daisy”)
This document specifies the characterisation tests that have to be done at the end of the fabrication of a phased array probe. It defines both methodology and acceptance criteria.
This document does not describe methods and acceptance criteria to characterise the performance of an ultrasonic phased array instrument or the performance of a combined system. These are described in EN ISO 18563-1 and in EN ISO 18563-3.

ISO 18563-2:2017 spécifie les essais de caractérisation effectués à l'issue de la fabrication d'un traducteur multiélément. Il définit à la fois la méthodologie et les critères d'acceptation.
ISO 18563-2:2017 s'applique aux traducteurs multiéléments utilisés pour les essais non destructifs par ultrasons selon la technique par contact (avec ou sans sabot) ou selon la technique par immersion, ayant une fréquence centrale comprise entre 0,5 MHz et 10 MHz:
a) traducteurs non matriciels:
- linéaires;
- encerclants;
- sectoriels annulaires partiels (type «marguerite»);
b) traducteurs matriciels 2D.
ISO 18563-2:2017 ne fournit pas les méthodes et critères d'acceptation permettant de caractériser les performances d'un appareil de contrôle par ultrasons en multiéléments ni celles d'un système complet. Ces performances sont données dans l'ISO 18563‑1 et l'ISO 18563‑3.

Ta dokument zajema preskuševalne glave faznih sistemov, ki se uporabljajo za ultrazvočne neporušitvene preiskave s kontaktno tehniko (z lomno prizmo ali brez nje) ali pri tehniki potapljanja, s srednjimi frekvencami v razponu od 0,5 MHz do 10 MHz. – linearno, – s preskusno tuljavo, – 2D-matrično, – delno obročasto sektorsko (tip »Daisy«) Ta dokument določa značilne preskuse, ki jih je treba opraviti ob koncu izdelave sonde faznega sistema. Opredeljuje tako metodologijo kot kriterije sprejemljivosti. Ta dokument ne opisuje metod in kriterijev sprejemljivosti za karakterizacijo delovanja ultrazvočnega instrumenta faznega niza ali delovanja kombiniranega sistema. Ti so opisani v standardih EN ISO 18563-1 in v EN ISO 18563-3.

destructive testing” in collaboration with Technical Committee CEN/TC 138 “Non-destructive testing”
