This standard specifies the required characteristics for a heat-shrinkable, polytetrafluoroethylene sleeving for use in aircraft electrical systems at operating temperatures between ? 65 °C and 260 °C. This sleeving is basically translucent. It is semi-rigid, and suitable for use where resistance to chemicals and high temperature performance are required. It is flame resistant and available in low and high shrink ratios. Type A Low Shrink Ratio; Type B High Shrink Ratio .

Dieses Dokument legt die Eigenschaften für einen wärmeschrumpfenden Schlauch aus Polytetrafluorethylen zur Verwendung in elektrischen Systemen von Luftfahrzeugen bei Betriebstemperaturen zwischen −65 °C und 260 °C fest. Diese Schläuche sind grundsätzlich durchscheinend. Sie sind halbsteif und zur Verwendung an Stellen geeignet, an denen eine Beständigkeit gegen Chemikalien und eine hohe Temperaturleistung erforderlich sind. Sie sind flammbeständig und in niedrigen und hohen Schrumpfverhältnissen erhältlich.

Le présent document spécifie les caractéristiques requises pour un manchon thermorétractable, en polytétrafluoroéthylène, destiné à être utilisé dans les systèmes électriques des aéronefs à des températures comprises entre 65 °C et 260 °C. Ce manchon est essentiellement translucide. Il est semi-rigide et est approprié à un usage nécessitant une résistance aux produits chimiques et aux températures élevées. Il est ininflammable et est disponible avec des coefficients de rétreint faible et élevé.

Ta standard določa zahtevane lastnosti toplotno skrčljivih politetrafluoretilenskih cevi za uporabo v električnih sistemih letal pri delovni temperaturi od –65 °C do 260 °C. Ta cev je v osnovi prosojna. Je poltoga in primerna za uporabo, pri kateri sta potrebni odpornost proti kemikalijam in visoka temperaturna zmogljivost. Je odporna proti plamenom ter na voljo z nizkimi in visokimi razmerji krčenja. Tip A – nizko razmerje krčenja; tip B – visoko razmerje krčenja.

1 Scope
This document specifies the required characteristics for a heat-shrinkable, polytetrafluoroethylene
sleeving for use in aircraft electrical systems at operating temperatures between 65 °C and 260 °C.
This sleeving is basically translucent. It is semi-rigid, and suitable for use where resistance to chemicals
