Coil coated metals - Test methods - Part 7: Resistance to cracking on bending (T-bend test)

This part of EN 13523 describes the procedure for determining the resistance to cracking of an organic coating on a metallic substrate when bent through 135° to 180°. The degree of adhesion may also be evaluated. Both folding and mandrel method are considered. The folding method is more often used for practical purposes but where more precise determinations are required, the mandrel method is recommended. The cylindrical bend method can also be used for a pass/fail decision by using an agreed mandrel.

Dieser Teil von EN 13523 beschreibt das Verfahren zur Bestimmung der Widerstandsfähigkeit gegen Rißbildung einer organischen Beschichtung auf einem metallischen Substrat, wenn dieses um 135° bis 180° gebogen wird. Die Haftfestigkeit kann ebenfalls bewertet werden. Es werden sowohl Faltverfahren als auch Dornbiegeverfahren berücksichtigt. Das Faltverfahren wird häufiger für praktische Zwecke verwendet. Wenn jedoch genauere Bestimmungen gefordert werden, wird das Dornbiegeverfahren empfohlen.

La présente partie de l'EN 13523 décrit la procédure de détermination de la résistance a la fissuration d'un revetement organique appliqué sur un support métallique lorsqu'il est plié selon un angle de 135° a 180°. Il est également possible d'évaluer le degré d'adhérence. Les deux méthodes, par pliage et au mandrin, sont prises en compte. Le pliage est, pour des raisons pratiques, la méthode la plus couramment utilisée; pour des déterminations plus précises, il est recommandé d'utiliser la méthode au mandrin.
