This document specifies the minimum safety characteristics required for the design, materials, manufacture and testing of inflatable boats and rigid inflatable boats with a length of the hull LH in accordance with ISO 8666 less than 8 m with a motor power rating of 15 kW and greater.
This document is applicable to the following types of boats intended for use within the operating temperatures of –20 °C to +60 °C:
— Type VII: Powered boats, fitted with a buoyancy tube on the port and starboard sides, suitable for navigation in conditions of design categories C and D.
— Type VIII: Powered boats, fitted with a buoyancy tube on the port and starboard sides, suitable for navigation in conditions of design category B.
This document excludes single-chambered boats and boats with tubes made from unsupported materials, and does not apply to aquatic toys and inflatable liferafts.
Boats with tubes made from aluminium, roto-moulded polyethylene, fibre reinforced plastic or other rigid materials are excluded from this document.

Dieses Dokument legt die sicherheitstechnischen Mindestanforderungen an die Konstruktion, Werkstoffe, Verarbeitung und Prüfung von aufblasbaren Booten und Festrumpfschlauchbooten mit einer Gesamtrumpflänge LH entsprechend ISO 8666 von weniger als 8 m und mit einer Motorleistung von mindestens 15 kW fest.
Dieses Dokument ist anwendbar für folgende Kategorien von Booten, die für einen Einsatz in einem Temperaturbereich von −20 °C bis +60 °C vorgesehen sind:
Kategorie VII: motorbetriebene Boote, ausgestattet mit einer Auftriebskammer an der Backbord- und der Steuerbordseite, geeignet für Fahrten unter Bedingungen für die Konstruktionsklassen C und D.
Kategorie VIII: motorbetriebene Boote, ausgestattet mit einer Auftriebskammer an der Backbord- und der Steuerbordseite, geeignet für Fahrten unter Bedingungen für die Konstruktionsklasse B.
Dieses Dokument schließt Ein-Kammer-Boote und Boote mit Schläuchen aus trägerlosen Werkstoffen aus und gilt nicht für Wasserspielzeuge und aufblasbare Rettungsflöße.
Boote mit Schläuchen aus Aluminium, rotationsgegossenem Polyethylen, glasfaserverstärktem Kunststoff oder anderen starren Werkstoffen sind aus diesem Dokument ausgeschlossen.

Le présent document spécifie les caractéristiques minimales de sécurité requises concernant la conception, les matériaux à utiliser, la fabrication et les essais des bateaux pneumatiques et des bateaux pneumatiques semi-rigides d'une longueur de coque LH, mesurée conformément à l'ISO 8666, inférieure à 8 m et dont la puissance moteur assignée est supérieure ou égale à 15 kW.
Le présent document s'applique aux types de bateaux suivants destinés à être utilisés dans une plage de températures d'utilisation comprises entre –20 °C et +60 °C:
— type VII: bateaux à moteur équipés d'un tube de flottabilité relié aux côtés bâbord et tribord, appropriés à une navigation en catégories de conception C et D;
— type VIII: bateaux à moteur équipés d'un tube de flottabilité relié aux côtés bâbord et tribord, appropriés à une navigation en catégorie de conception B.
Le présent document exclut les bateaux à chambre unique et les bateaux dont les tubes de flottabilité sont constitués de matériaux non renforcés, et ne s'applique ni aux jouets aquatiques ni aux radeaux de survie gonflables.
Les bateaux dont les tubes de flottabilité sont constitués d'aluminium, de polyéthylène rotomoulé, de plastique renforcé de fibres ou d'autres matériaux rigides sont exclus du présent document.

Ta dokument določa minimalne varnostne lastnosti, zahtevane za načrtovanje, materiale, izdelavo in preskušanje napihljivih čolnov ter napihljivih čolnov, ki imajo v spodnjem delu trupa togo enoto, z dolžino trupa (LH), krajšo od 8 m (v skladu s standardom ISO 8666) in motorjem z močjo, večjo ali enako 15 kW.
Ta dokument se uporablja za naslednje tipe čolnov, namenjenih za uporabo pri delovnih temperaturah od –20 °C do +60 °C:

This document (EN ISO 6185-3:2024) has been prepared by Technical Committee ISO/TC 188 "Small
craft" in collaboration with Technical Committee CEN/TC 464 “Small Craft” the secretariat of which is
held by SIS.
This European Standard shall be given the status of a national standard, either by publication of an
identical text or by endorsement, at the latest by November 2024, and conflicting national standards
shall be withdrawn at the latest by November 2024.
Attention is drawn to the possibility that some of the elements of this document may be the subject of

This document supersedes EN ISO 6185-3:2018.

requirements of Directive 2013/53/EU
This European Standard has been prepared under a Commission’s standardization request
M/542/C(2015) 8736 final to provide one voluntary means of conforming to essential requirements of
Directive 2013/53/EU.
Once this standard is cited in the Official Journal of the European Union under that Directive,
compliance with the normative clauses of this standard given in Table ZA.1 confers, within the limits of
the scope of this standard, a presumption of conformity with the corresponding essential requirements
of that Directive, and associated EFTA regulations.
