Corrosion protection of metals - Electrodeposited coatings of zinc with supplementary treatment on iron or steel

This European Standard specifies requirements for electrodeposited coatings of zinc on iron or steel with supplementary treatment. This European Standard does not specify chromate finishes which are required only for improving the adhesion of paints or varnishes. NOTE: This European Standard is not intended to be usedalone, but is the complement of EN 1403. It is necessary for the purchaser to specify the zinc electrodeposited coating in accordance with the designation as specified in EN 1403.

Diese Europäische Norm legt Anforderungen an galvanisch abgeschiedene Zink- überzüge auf Eisenwerkstoffen mit zusätzlicher Behandlung fest. Diese Europäische Norm legt keine Chromatierüberzüge fest, die nur zur Verbesserung des Haftvermögens von Farben und Lacken bestimmt sind. ANMERKUNG: Diese Europäische Norm darf nicht für sich allein benutzt werden, denn sie ist die Ergänzung zu EN 1403. Der Abnehmer muß den galvanisch abzuscheidenden Zink- überzug gemäß der Bezeichnung bestellen, die in EN 1403 festgelegt ist.

La présente norme européenne spécifie les exigences concernant les dépôts électrolytiques de zinc sur fer ou acier avec traitement complémentaire. La présente norme européenne ne spécifie pas les finitions chromatées nécessaires uniquement pour améliorer l'adhésion des peintures et vernis. NOTE: La présente norme européenne n'est pas destinée a etre utilisée a part, il s'agit d'un complément a l'EN 1403. Il est essentiel que le client spécifie les dépôts électrolytiques de zinc conformément a la désignation spécifiée dans l'EN 1403.
