ECISS/TC 27 - Surface coated flat products - Qualities, dimensions, tolerances and specific tests

This European Standard applies to continuously zinc (Z), zinc-iron alloy (ZF), zinc-aluminium alloy (ZA), aluminium-zinc alloy (AZ) and aluminium-silicon alloy (AS) hot-dip coated flat products made of low carbon and high strength steels for cold forming and of structural steels with a minimum thickness of 0,20 mm and a maximum thickness of 6,50 mm, delivered as sheet, wide strip, slit wide strip or cut lengths obtained from slit wide strip or sheet. The concerned standards are EN 10292, EN 10326, EN 10327 and hot-dip coated products according to prEN 10336.
It does not apply for
   hot-rolled sheet and strip without coating (see EN 10051) and
uncoated or electrolytically coated cold rolled sheet and strip (see EN 10131).

This European Standard specifies requirements for continuously electrolytic zinc-nickel coated cold rolled flat products of low carbon steels suitable for cold forming according to table 1 and table 2 in rolled widths >= 600 mm and thicknesses from 0,35 mm up to and including 3 mm, delivered as strip (in coil form), sheet, slit strip or cut lengths obtained from slit strip or sheet. The coating is composed of Zn with a Ni-content of 10,5% to 13%.

This document gives the specific requirements for continuously organic coated (coil coated) steel flat products used for building exterior applications. It particularly specifies the performance requirements.
The products covered are wide strip, sheet cut from wide strip, slit wide strip, strip rolled in widths less than 600 mm and cut lengths (from sheet or strip).
General information concerning continuously organic coated steel flat products is provided by EN 10169 1.
Products for building interior applications are covered by EN 10169-3.

This European Standard provides information on the selection and ordering of continuously organic coated (coil coated) steel flat products and specifies appropriate technical requirements for the products, e.g. for test methods and tolerances on coating thickness, appearance and product dimensions and shape.

This Part of this European Standard gives the specific requirements for continuously organic coated (coil coated) steel flat products used for building interior applications. It particularly specifies the performance requirements of different product flexibility categories and different corrosion protection categories. General information concerning continuously organic coated steel flat products is provided by EN 10169-1. Products for building exterior applications are covered by ENV 10169-2. The products covered are wide strips, sheets cut from wide strip, slit wide strips.

This European Standard applies to strip of all widths and to sheets cut from it (>/- 600 mm width) and cut lengths (< 600 mm width).

This European Standard specifies the requirements for the tolerances on the dimensions and shape of continuously hot-dip metal coated flat products (strip of all widths and sheet or lengths cut form it) with a thickness <= 3,0 mm of low carbon steels for cold forming and of structural steels. The thickness is the final thickness of the delivered product including the metal coating.

This European Prestandard gives the specific requirements for continuously organic coated (coil coated) steel flat products used for building exterior applications. It particularly specifies the performance requirements of different products flexibilily categories, different corrosion protection categories and different UV resistance categories.
