ISO 9311-1:2005 specifies three test procedures suitable for the determination of the spreadability and film properties of solvent-containing adhesives for thermoplastic piping systems. These methods do not produce directly comparable results. One method is applicable to non-thixotropic adhesives and the other two methods are applicable to thixotropic adhesives.

Dieser Teil von EN ISO 9311 legt drei Prüfverfahren für die Bestimmung der Spreitbarkeit und der Filmeigenschaften von Lösemittel enthaltenden Klebstoffen für thermoplastische Rohrleitungssysteme fest. Diese Verfahren liefern keine direkt vergleichbaren Ergebnisse.
Eines der Verfahren ist nur auf nicht-thixotrope Klebstoffe anwendbar, die anderen beiden sind für thixotrope Klebstoffe geeignet.

L'ISO 9311:2005 décrit trois modes opératoires permettant de déterminer l'aptitude à l'étalement et les propriétés des films d'adhésifs contenant des solvants utilisés pour les tuyauteries thermoplastiques. Ces méthodes ne donnent pas directement des résultats comparables. Une méthode est applicable aux adhésifs non thixotropiques, les deux autres méthodes étant applicables aux adhésifs thixotropiques.

This European Standard (EN ISO 9311-1:2005) has been prepared by Technical Committee CEN/TC 193
"Adhesives" the secretariat of which is held by AENOR, in collaboration with Technical Committee ISO/TC 138
"Plastics pipes, fittings and valves for the transport of fluids".
This European Standard shall be given the status of a national standard, either by publication of an identical text or
by endorsement, at the latest by February 2006, and conflicting national standards shall be withdrawn at the latest
by February 2006.
