Gas cylinders - 17E and 25E taper threads for connection of valves to gas cylinders - Part 2: Inspection gauges (ISO 11363-2:2017)

ISO 11363-2:2017 specifies types, dimensions and principles of use of gauges, to be used in conjunction with the taper threads specified in ISO 11363-1 (i.e. 17E and 25E threads).
It provides examples of calculations for thread gauge dimensions on the large end diameter (Annex A) and draws attention to the limitations of the gauging system specified (Annex B).

Dieses Dokument legt Typen, Maße und Anwendungsgrundsätze von Lehren, die in Verbindung mit den kegeligen Gewinden nach ISO 11363-1 (d. h. 17E- und 25E-Gewinde) angewendet werden, fest.
Es enthält Berechnungsbeispiele für die Abmaße von Gewindelehren für den großen Kegeldurchmesser (Anhang A) und weist auf die Grenzen des in der vorliegenden Norm festgelegten Lehren-Systems (Anhang B) hin.

L'ISO 11363-2 :2017 spécifie les types, les dimensions et les principes d'utilisation des calibres, à utiliser conjointement avec les cônes filetés spécifiés dans l'ISO 11363‑1 (c'est-à-dire à filetages 17E et 25E).
Il donne des exemples de calculs des dimensions de calibres filetés fondés sur le diamètre de la grosse extrémité (Annexe A) et il attire l'attention sur les limites du système de vérification par calibres spécifié (Annexe B).

This document (EN ISO 11363-2:2017) has been prepared by Technical Committee ISO/TC 58 “Gas
cylinders” in collaboration with Technical Committee CEN/TC 23 “Transportable gas cylinders” the
secretariat of which is held by BSI.
This European Standard shall be given the status of a national standard, either by publication of an
identical text or by endorsement, at the latest by June 2018, and conflicting national standards shall be
withdrawn at the latest by June 2018.
Attention is drawn to the possibility that some of the elements of this document may be the subject of
patent rights. CEN shall not be held responsible for identifying any or all such patent rights.
This document supersedes EN ISO 11363-2:2010.
