This European Standard describes the procedure to determine the rated thermal output (D) and the mean surface temperature (trp).
Ceiling mounted radiant panels exchange heat mainly by radiation.
The test methods to determine the thermal output of ceiling mounted radiant panels, as described in EN 14037-2, give reliable results for comparing different products, but these results understate the output obtained under real operating conditions.

Diese Europäische Norm legt das Verfahren zur Ermittlung der Nennwärmeleistung (D) und der mittleren Oberflächentemperatur (trp) fest.
Deckenstrahlplatten geben die Wärmeleistung überwiegend durch Strahlung ab.
Die Prüfverfahren zur Bestimmung der Wärmeleistung von Deckenstrahlplatten, wie in prEN 14037-2 beschrieben, geben zuverlässige Ergebnisse für den Vergleich verschiedener Produkte. Diese unterscheiden sich aber von den Werten unter den Betriebsbedingungen in der Anwendung.

This European Standard results from the recognition that the ceiling mounted heating and cooling surfaces falling

into the field of application hereinafter stated are traded of the basis of their thermal and cooling output. For evalu-

ating and comparing different ceiling mounted radiant panels it is therefore necessary to refer to a single stipulated

value.
