Diese Internationale Norm gehört zu einer Reihe von Normen, welche die Probenahme und Prüfung von Beschichtungsstoffen, Druckfarben und ähnlichen Produkten behandelt.
Sie beschreibt ein Verfahren zum Bestimmen der Mahlfeinheit (Körnigkeit, Kornfeinheit) von pigmentierten Beschichtungsstoffen, Druckfarben und ähnlichen Produkten mit einem geeigneten Messgerät, dessen Skale eine Teilung in Mikrometer hat.
Sie ist auf alle Arten von flüssigen, pigmentierten Beschichtungsstoffen und ähnlichen Produkten anwendbar. Von den drei in 4.1 erwähnten Messgeräten ist das Messgerät mit dem Bereich 100 µm zur allgemeinen Anwendung geeignet. Das Messgerät mit dem Bereich 50 µm und insbesondere das Messgerät mit dem Bereich 25 µm liefern nur zuverlässige Ergebnisse, wenn sie von geübtem Laborpersonal gehandhabt werden. Bei Bewertung von Ablesungen < 10 µm ist besondere Sorgfalt erforderlich.
Peintures et vernis - Détermination de la finesse de broyage (ISO 1524:2000)
La présente Norme internationale fait partie d'une série de normes traitant de l'échantillonnage et des essais des peintures, vernis, encres d'imprimerie et produits assimilés. Elle spécifie une méthode de détermination de la finesse de broyage des peintures, encres et produits assimilés au moyen d'une jauge appropriée, graduée en micromètres. Elle s'applique à tous les types de peintures liquides et de produits assimilés. Parmi les trois jauges auxquelles il est fait référence en 4.1, la jauge de 100 µm convient pour l'utilisation générale, mais la jauge de 50 µm, et particulièrement la jauge de 25 µm, ne donneront de résultats sûrs que s'ils sont utilisés par un personnel de laboratoire qualifié. Des précautions particulières sont nécessaires dans l'interprétation des lectures inférieures à 10 µm.
