Bituminous mixtures - Test methods - Part 8: Determination of void characteristics of bituminous specimens

This document describes a procedure for calculating volumetric characteristics of a compacted bituminous specimen: the air voids content (Va), the voids content in the mineral aggregate filled with binder (VFB) and the voids content in the mineral aggregate filled with binder and additives (VFBad) for the case of mixtures containing additives in their composition.
The method is suitable for specimens which are laboratory compacted or specimens cut from the pavement after placement and compacting or from laboratory compacted slabs, either by coring or sawing.
These volumetric characteristics can be used as mix design criteria or as parameters for evaluating the mixture after placing and compacting in the road.

Diese Dokument beschreibt ein Verfahren zur Berechnung von volumetrischen Charakteristiken eines verdichteten Asphalt-Probekörpers: des Hohlraumgehalts Va, des Bindemittelausfüllungsgrads VFB und – für Gemische, die Zusatzstoffe enthalten – des Bindemittel  und Zusatzstoffausfüllungsgrads VFBad.
Dieses Verfahren ist für im Labor verdichtete Probekörper sowie für Probekörper, die durch Bohren oder Sägen einer eingebauten und verdichteten Fahrbahndecke oder einer im Labor verdichteten Platte entnommen wurden, geeignet.
Diese volumetrischen Charakteristiken können als Kriterium bei einer Asphaltmischgutkonzeption oder als Parameter für seine Beurteilung nach dem Einbau und der Verdichtung in der Straße verwendet werden.

Ce document décrit la procédure permettant de calculer des caractéristiques volumétriques d’une éprouvette bitumineuse compactée : la teneur en vide d'air Va), la teneur en vide du squelette granulaire comblés par le liant (VFB), et la teneur en vide du squelette granulaire comblés par le liant et les additifs (VFBad) pour les mélanges contenant des additifs dans leur composition.
Cette méthode peut être utilisée pour les éprouvettes compactées en laboratoire ou prélevées dans la chaussée par carottage ou sciage après mise en œuvre et compactage.
Ces caractéristiques volumétriques peuvent être employées comme critères de formulation ou comme paramètres d’évaluation du mélange après sa mise en œuvre et son compactage dans une chaussée.

Ta evropski standard opisuje postopek za izračun volumetričnih značilnosti zgoščenega bitumenskega preskušanca: vsebnost zraka (Vm), vsebnost votlin v zmesi kamnitih zrn z vezivom (VFB) in vsebnost votlin v zmesi kamnitih zrn z vezivom in dodatki (VFBad) za primere zmesi, ki imajo v svoji sestavi dodatke.
Metoda je primerna za preskušance, ki so laboratorijsko stisnjeni, ali preskušance, ki so z vrtanjem ali žaganjem izrezani iz voziščne konstrukcije po vgradnji in utrjevanju.
Te volumetrične značilnosti je mogoče uporabiti kot merila za načrtovanje zmesi ali parametre za ocenjevanje zmesi po vgradnji in utrjevanju na cesti.
