Bicycles - Accessories for bicycles - Luggage carriers

This European Standard specifies safety and performance requirements for the design and testing of luggage carriers intended for permanent mounting above or adjacent to the wheels of cycles and lays down guide lines for instructions on the use and care of such luggage carriers.
This European Standard does not apply to removable luggage (for example handlebar bags or baskets that are not permanently attached).

Diese Europäische Norm legt Anforderungen an die Sicherheitstechnik und die Leistungsfähigkeit bei der
Konstruktion und Prüfung von Gepäckträgern, die für den dauerhaften Anbau über und neben den Laufrädern
von Rädern vorgesehen sind, und enthält Anleitungen zur Benutzung und Pflege dieser Gepäckträger.
Diese Europäische Norm gilt nicht für abnehmbare Gepäckträger (z. B. Taschen oder Körbe, die nicht
dauerhaft am Lenker angebracht sind).

La présente Norme européenne prescrit les exigences de sécurité et de performance à observer lors de la conception et des essais des porte-bagages destinés à être montés au-dessus ou à côté des roues des cycles, et précise les lignes directrices concernant l'utilisation et l'entretien de ceux-ci.
La présente Norme européenne ne s'applique pas aux bagages amovibles (par exemple sacs de guidon ou panier qui ne sont pas fixés d’une façon permanente).
