Flexible sheets for waterproofing - Plastic and rubber sheets for waterproofing of concrete bridge decks and other trafficked areas of concrete - Definitions and characteristics

This European Standard specifies characteristics and performance of plastic and rubber sheets for waterproofing of concrete bridge decks and other concrete surfaces trafficable by vehicles where the waterproofing is fully bonded to the concrete deck and fully bonded to the asphalt overlay.
This standard does not cover concrete surfaces trafficable by vehicles where the waterproofing is not fully bonded to the concrete and/or not fully bonded to an overlay.
The standard also states the test methods used for verifying the characteristics and gives rules for the assessment and verification of consistency of performance of the product.

Abdichtungsbahnen - Kunststoff- und Elastomerbahnen für Abdichtungen von Betonbrücken und anderen Verkehrsflächen aus Beton - Definitionen und Eigenschaften

Diese Europäische Norm legt die Eigenschaften und Leistung von Kunststoff- und Elastomerbahnen für die Abdichtung von Betonbrücken und anderen Verkehrsflächen aus Beton fest, bei denen das Abdichtungs-system vollflächig mit dem Brückenüberbau und mit der Deckschicht aus Asphalt verbunden ist.
Diese Europäische Norm gilt nicht für Verkehrsflächen aus Beton, bei denen das Abdichtungssystem nicht vollflächig mit dem Beton und/oder nicht vollflächig mit einer Deckschicht verbunden ist.
Ferner führt diese Europäische Norm die Prüfverfahren für die Beurteilung der Eigenschaften auf und enthält Regeln für die Bewertung und Überprüfung der Leistungsbeständigkeit des Produkts.

La présente Norme européenne spécifie les caractéristiques et les performances des feuilles plastiques et élastomères pour l’étanchéité de ponts en béton et autres surfaces en béton circulables par les véhicules lorsque le système d’étanchéité est totalement adhérent au tablier en béton et totalement adhérent au revêtement bitumineux qui y est rapporté.
La présente norme ne vise pas les surfaces en béton circulables par des véhicules lorsque le système d’étanchéité n’est pas totalement adhérent au béton ou pas totalement adhérent au revêtement qui y est rapporté.
La présente Norme européenne définit également les méthodes d’essai employées pour vérifier les caractéristiques et fournit des règles pour l’évaluation et la vérification de la constance des performances du produit.

1 Scope
This European Standard specifies characteristics and performance of plastic and rubber sheets for
waterproofing of concrete bridge decks and other concrete surfaces trafficable by vehicles where the
waterproofing is fully bonded to the concrete deck and fully bonded to the asphalt overlay.
This European Standard also states the test methods used for verifying the characteristics and gives
rules for the assessment and verification of consistency of performance of the product.
