Small craft - Marine propulsion reciprocating internal combustion engines - Power measurements and declarations (ISO 8665:2006)

ISO 8665:2006 specifies the requirements additional to ISO 15550 for determining the power of reciprocating internal combustion (RIC) engines when presented for documenting and checking of the declared (rated) power published by the manufacturer.
ISO 8665:2006 applies to engines used for propulsion of recreational craft and other small craft of up to 24 m hull length.
ISO 8665:2006 is to be used in conjunction with ISO 15550.

L'ISO 8665:2006 spécifie les caractéristiques complémentaires à l'ISO 15550 afin de déterminer la puissance des moteurs alternatifs à combustion interne (RIC, de l'anglais "reciprocating internal combustion") en vue de figurer dans une documentation et de vérifier la puissance déclarée (nominale) publiée par le fabricant.
Elle est applicable aux moteurs utilisés pour la propulsion des navires de plaisance et autres petits navires dont la longueur de coque est inférieure ou égale à 24 m.
Elle est destinée à être appliquée conjointement avec l'ISO 15550.

Ta mednarodni standard določa dodatne zahteve, ki veljajo za ISO 15550 za določanje moči batnih motorjev z notranjim izgorevanjem za pogon ladij/čolnov, kadar so predloženi za dokumentiranje in preverjanje deklarirane (ocenjene) moči, ki jo izda proizvajalec.
Ta mednarodni standard se uporablja za motorje, ki se uporabljajo za pogon plovil za rekreacijo in drugih majhnih plovil dolžine trupa do 24 m.
Ta mednarodni standard je treba uporabljati v povezavi s standardom ISO 15550.
OPOMBA Za določitev moči za preskuse emisij izpušnih plinov v skladu s standardom ISO 8178 velja ISO 14396.

The text of ISO 8665:2006 has been prepared by Technical Committee ISO/TC 188 “Small craft” of the
International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and has been taken over as EN ISO 8665:2017.
This European Standard shall be given the status of a national standard, either by publication of an
identical text or by endorsement, at the latest by February 2018, and conflicting national standards
shall be withdrawn at the latest by February 2018.
Attention is drawn to the possibility that some of the elements of this document may be the subject of
patent rights. CEN shall not be held responsible for identifying any or all such patent rights.
This document supersedes EN ISO 8665:2006.
This document has been prepared under a mandate given to CEN by the European Commission and the
European Free Trade Association, and supports essential requirements of EU Directive(s).
