Methods of test for dense shaped refractory products - Part 12: Determination of pyrometric cone equivalent (refractoriness)

This European Standard specifies a method for determining the pyrometric cone equivalent (refractoriness) for refractory materials including shaped and unshaped products. Its useful range of application depends on the availability of suitable pyrometric reference cones. In the temperature range from 1500 °C to 1800 °C, the pyrometric reference cones specified in EN 993-13 are suitable. As pyrometric reference cones are primarily manufactured for estimating the effect of temperature on siliceous, low alumina fireclay and fireclay products, the results on materials other than these may not be as precise.

Diese Europäische Norm legt ein Verfahren zur Bestimmung des Kegelfallpunktes (Feuerfestigkeit) von feuerfesten sauren, halbsauren und Schamotte-Rohstoffen und Erzeugnissen fest. Der nutzbare Anwendungsbereich hängt von der Verfügbarkeit geeigneter Referenz-Brennkegek ab. Im Temperaturbereich von 1500°C bis 1800°C sind die in EN 993-13 festgelegten Referenz-Brennkegel geeignet.

Méthodes d'essai pour produit réfractaires façonnés denses -Partie 12: Détermination de la résistance pyroscopique (réfraction)

La présente norme européenne spécifie une méthode pour la détermination de la résistance pyroscopique (réfactarité) des produits et matériaux réfractaires siliceux, silico-argileux à faible teneur en alumine et silico-argileux. Le domaine d'utilisation pratique dépend des cônes pyroscopiques dont on dispose. Dans l'intervalle de température de 1500 à 1800°C, les cônes pyroscopiques définis dans l'EN 993-13 conviennent.
