Specifications for installations inside buildings conveying water for human consumption - Part 1: General

This European standard specifies requirements for and gives recommendations on the design, installation, alteration, testing, maintenance and operation of drinking water installations within buildings and for certain purposes pipework outside buildings but within the premises. It is applicable to the system of pipes, fittings and connected appliances installed for supplying drinking water.

Technische Regeln für Trinkwasser-Installationen - Teil 1: Allgemeines

Diese Europäische Norm beschreibt die Anforderungen und gibt Empfehlungen für Planung, Installation, Änderung, Prüfung, Instandhaltung und Betrieb von Trinkwasser-Installationen innerhalb von Gebäuden und für bestimmte Anwendungen außerhalb von Gebäuden, aber innerhalb von Grundstücken (siehe Bild 1). Es umfaßt die Rohre, Anschlußstücke und angeschlossenen Geräte, diezur Versorgung mit Trinkwasser verlegt werden. Nach dieser Norm beginnen Trinkwasser-Installationen an der Außenseite der Gebäude (Bild 1).

La présente norme européenne prescrit les spécifications et indique les recommandations relatives à la conception, à l'installation, à la modification, aux essais, à l'entretien et au fonctionnement des installations d'eau potable, dans les immeubles; dans certains cas sont également concernées les canalisations extérieures aux immeubles, dans les limites de popriété. Elle s'applique aux systèmes de canalisations, les assemblages et tous les appareils raccordés installés pour la distribution d'eau potable.

Hydraulic safety groups do not control the temperature. They ensure the hydraulic safety of water heaters if the mechanical resistance of the water heater remains at least equal to the rating pressure.
NOTE   The use of the device specified in this European Standard does not override the need to use controls (e.g. thermostats and cut-outs) which act directly on the power sources of water heaters.
