ISO 5912:2003 specifies the requirements on safety, performance and fitness for use of camping tents.
It applies to types and classes of tents for camping and outdoor purposes.

Diese Internationale Norm legt Anforderungen an die Sicherheit, die Funktion und Gebrauchstauglichkeit von
Campingzelten (im Folgenden Zelte genannt) fest.
Sie gilt für die in 3.1 aufgeführten Typen und Klassen von Zelten für den Einsatz im Camping- und Outdoor-
Bereich.
ANMERKUNG Für Caravan-Vorzelte gelten ISO 8936 und ISO 8937. Begriffe bezüglich Campingzelte und Caravan-
Vorzelte siehe ISO 7152.

L'ISO 5912:2003 spécifie les exigences relatives à la sécurité, au fonctionnement et à l'aptitude à l'emploi des tentes de camping.

Foreword
The text of ISO 5912:2003 has been prepared by Technical Committee ISO/TC 83 "Sports and
recreational equipment” of the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and has been
taken over as EN ISO 5912:2005 by Technical Committee CEN/TC 136 "Sports, playground and
other recreational equipment", the secretariat of which is held by DIN.
This European Standard shall be given the status of a national standard, either by publication of
an identical text or by endorsement, at the latest by December 2005, and conflicting national
standards shall be withdrawn at the latest by December 2005.
According to the CEN/CENELEC Internal Regulations, the national standards organizations of
the following countries are bound to implement this European Standard: Austria, Belgium,
Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary,
Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Norway, Poland,
Portugal, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland and United Kingdom.
