This part of EN 136.008 specifies safety requirements for water polo goals in addition to the general safety requirements of prEN 136.008-1. The requirements of this specific standard take priority over those in the general standard. This part of prEN 136.008 is applicable to manufactured water polo goals for use in competition and training.

In the aspects which overlap with EN 13451-10 the requirements of this EN standard take precedence over the EN 13451-10.
NOTE In this standard, "climbing" and "bouldering" are used synonymously.
