Swimming pool equipment - Part 2: Additional specific safety requirements and test methods for ladders, stepladders and handle bends

This part of EN 13451 specifies safety requirements for ladders, stepladders and handle bends in addition to the general safety requirements of EN 13451-1.
The requirements of this specific standard take priority over those in EN 13451-1.
This part of EN 13451 is applicable to manufactured ladders, stepladders and handle bends used for pool access and egress for use in classified swimming pools as specified in EN 15288-1 and EN 15288-2.

Dieser Teil der EN 13451 legt sicherheitstechnische Anforderungen an Leitern, Treppenleitern und Griff-bögen zusätzlich zu den allgemeinen sicherheitstechnischen Anforderungen nach EN 13451-1 fest.
Die Anforderungen dieser spezifischen Norm haben Vorrang gegenüber EN 13451-1.

It is advised to follow the design, working methods and operational requirements insofar as they are relevant. This standard is not applicable to artificial climbing structures according to EN 12572 (all parts) and to inflatable climbing/bouldering walls according to EN ISO 25649-6.
In the aspects which overlap with EN 13451-10 the requirements of this EN standard take precedence over the EN 13451-10.
NOTE In this standard, "climbing" and "bouldering" are used synonymously.
