Paints and varnishes - Determination of resistance to liquids - Part 2: Water immersion method (ISO 2812-2:2018)

This document specifies a method for determining the resistance of an individual-layer or multi-layer system of coating materials to the effects of water by partial or full immersion.
This method enables the determination of the effects of water on the coating and, if necessary, the assessment of the damage to the substrate.

Dieses Verfahren ermöglicht es, die Wirkung von Wasser auf die Beschichtung und, falls notwendig, die Schädigung des Substrates zu beurteilen.

Le présent document spécifie une méthode de détermination de la résistance d'un système de revêtement monocouche ou multicouche à l'action de l'eau en immersion totale ou partielle.
Cette méthode permet d'évaluer l'action de l'eau sur le revêtement et, si nécessaire, d'évaluer la détérioration du subjectile.

This document (EN ISO 2812-2:2018) has been prepared by Technical Committee ISO/TC 35 "Paints
and varnishes" in collaboration with Technical Committee CEN/TC 139 “Paints and varnishes” the
secretariat of which is held by DIN.
This European Standard shall be given the status of a national standard, either by publication of an
identical text or by endorsement, at the latest by June 2019, and conflicting national standards shall be
withdrawn at the latest by June 2019.
Attention is drawn to the possibility that some of the elements of this document may be the subject of
