This document specifies a method for determining the resistance of an individual-layer or multi-layer
system of coating materials to the effects of water by partial or full immersion.
This method enables the determination of the effects of water on the coating and, if necessary, the
assessment of the damage to the substrate.

Dieses Verfahren ermöglicht es, die Wirkung von Wasser auf die Beschichtung und, falls notwendig, die Schädigung des Substrates zu beurteilen.

and varnishes" in collaboration with Technical Committee CEN/TC 139 “Paints and varnishes” the

secretariat of which is held by DIN.

identical text or by endorsement, at the latest by June 2019, and conflicting national standards shall be

withdrawn at the latest by June 2019.
