Welding consumables - Wire electrodes and weld deposits for gas shielded metal arc welding of non alloy and fine grain steels - Classification (ISO 14341:2020)

This document specifies requirements for classification of wire electrodes and weld deposits in the as-welded condition and in the post-weld heat-treated condition for gas shielded metal arc welding of non alloy and fine grain steels with a minimum yield strength of up to 500 MPa or a minimum tensile strength of up to 570 MPa. One wire electrode can be tested and classified with different shielding gases.
This document constitutes a combined specification providing classification utilizing a system based upon the yield strength and the average impact energy of 47 J of all-weld metal, or utilizing a system based upon the tensile strength and the average impact energy of 27 J of all-weld metal.
a)   Clauses and tables which carry the suffix letter "A" are applicable only to wire electrodes classified to the system based on the yield strength and the average impact energy of 47 J of all-weld metal in accordance with this document.
b)   Clauses and tables which carry the suffix letter "B" are applicable only to wire electrodes classified to the system based on the tensile strength and the average impact energy of 27 J of all-weld metal in accordance with this document.
c)    Clauses and tables which have neither the suffix letter "A" nor the suffix letter "B" are applicable to all wire electrodes classified in accordance with this document.

Schweißzusätze - Drahtelektroden und Schweißgut zum Metall-Schutzgasschweißen von unlegierten Stählen und Feinkornstählen - Einteilung (ISO 14341:2020)

Dieses Dokument legt Anforderungen zur Einteilung von Drahtelektroden und Schweißgut zum Metall-Schutzgasschweißen von unlegierten Stählen und Feinkornbaustählen mit einer Mindeststreckgrenze bis 500 MPa oder einer Mindestzugfestigkeit bis 570 MPa im Schweißzustand und nach einer Wärme-nachbehandlung fest. Eine Drahtelektrode kann mit verschiedenen Schutzgasen geprüft und eingeteilt werden.
Dieses Dokument enthält eine gemeinsame Spezifikation zur Einteilung entweder nach der Streckgrenze und der durchschnittlichen Kerbschlagarbeit von 47 J des reinen Schweißgutes oder nach der Zugfestigkeit und der durchschnittlichen Kerbschlagarbeit von 27 J des reinen Schweißgutes.
a) Abschnitte und Tabellen, gekennzeichnet durch ein nachgestelltes „A“, sind nur für Drahtelektroden anwendbar, die dem System basierend auf der Streckgrenze und der durchschnittlichen Kerbschlagarbeit von 47 J des reinen Schweißgutes nach diesem Dokument zugeordnet sind.
b) Abschnitte und Tabellen, gekennzeichnet durch ein nachgestelltes „B“, sind nur für Drahtelektroden anwendbar, die dem System basierend auf der Zugfestigkeit und der durchschnittlichen Kerbschlagarbeit von 27 J des reinen Schweißgutes nach diesem Dokument zugeordnet sind.
c) Abschnitte und Tabellen, die kein nachgestelltes „A“ oder „B“ enthalten, sind für alle nach diesem Dokument eingeteilten Drahtelektroden anwendbar.

Le présent document spécifie les exigences de classification des fils-électrodes et métaux d'apport déposés dans l'état brut de soudage et à l'état traité thermiquement après soudage, en soudage à l'arc sous protection gazeuse des aciers non alliés et à grains fins ayant une limite d'élasticité minimale pouvant atteindre 500 MPa ou une résistance à la traction minimale pouvant atteindre 570 MPa. Un même fil-électrode peut être soumis à essai et classifié avec des gaz de protection différents.
Le présent document constitue une spécification combinée permettant une classification utilisant un système fondé sur la limite d'élasticité et l'énergie de rupture moyenne de 47 J d'un métal fondu hors dilution, ou utilisant un système fondé sur la résistance à la traction et l'énergie de rupture moyenne de 27 J d'un métal fondu hors dilution.
a)    Les articles et les tableaux portant le suffixe «A» s'appliquent uniquement aux fils-électrodes classifiés selon le système fondé sur la limite d'élasticité et l'énergie de rupture moyenne de 47 J d'un métal fondu hors dilution, conformément au présent document.
b)    Les articles et les tableaux portant le suffixe «B» s'appliquent uniquement aux fils-électrodes classifiés selon le système fondé sur la résistance à la traction et l'énergie de rupture moyenne de 27 J d'un métal fondu hors dilution, conformément à la présente Norme internationale.
c)    Les articles et les tableaux ne comportant ni le suffixe «A» ni le suffixe «B» s'appliquent à tous les fils-électrodes classifiés selon la présente Norme internationale.

This document (EN ISO 14341:2020) has been prepared by Technical Committee ISO/TC 44 "Welding
and allied processes" in collaboration with Technical Committee CEN/TC 121 “Welding and allied
processes” the secretariat of which is held by DIN.
This European Standard shall be given the status of a national standard, either by publication of an
identical text or by endorsement, at the latest by March 2021, and conflicting national standards shall
be withdrawn at the latest by March 2021.
