Binders for paints and varnishes - Rosin - Sampling and sample preparation for colour measurement (ISO 13632:2012)

This International Standard specifies a procedure for sampling of rosin and rosin derivatives from
— drums,
— the molten/liquid form,
— flakes, pellets or pastilles
and preparation of the samples for colour measurement. The method to be used for the colour measurement is specified in other standards. The colour of the rosin can be measured with neat rosin or rosin in solution.
The two most commonly used colour-measurement methods are those based on the USDA1) scale and the Gardner colour scale. Annex A provides information on the correlation between these two scales.

Diese Internationale Norm legt ein Verfahren zur Probenahme von Kolophonium und Kolophoniumderivaten aus
-   Fässern,
-   dem geschmolzenen/flüssigen Harz,
-   Spänen, Pellets oder Pastillen
und zur Probenvorbereitung für die Messung der Farbzahl fest. Das Verfahren für die Messung der Farbzahl ist in anderen Normen festgelegt. Die Farbzahl von Kolophonium kann mit unverdünntem oder gelöstem Kolophonium gemessen werden.
Die beiden am häufigsten verwendeten Verfahren zur Messung der Farbzahl sind die nach der USDA )-Skala und der Gardner-Farbskala. Anhang A enthält Informationen über die Zusammenhänge dieser beiden Skalen.

La présente Norme internationale spécifie un mode opératoire d'échantillonnage de la colophane et des dérivés de colophane prélevés à partir de
— fûts,
— matériaux liquides/fondus,
— copeaux, granulés ou pastilles
et de préparation des échantillons pour le mesurage de la couleur. La méthode à utiliser pour le mesurage de la couleur est spécifiée dans d'autres normes. La couleur de la colophane peut être mesurée sur de la colophane pure ou sur de la colophane en solution.
Les deux méthodes de mesurage de la couleur les plus couramment utilisées sont celles qui reposent sur l'échelle USDA1) et l'échelle de couleur Gardner. L'Annexe A fournit des informations sur la correspondance entre ces deux échelles.

Ta mednarodni standard določa postopek za vzorčenje smole in njenih derivatov iz – rumov, – staljene/tekoče oblike, – jezer, – peletov ali pastil ter pripravo vzorcev za merjenje barvnega števila. Metoda, ki se uporabi za merjenje barv, je določena v drugih standardih. Barvo smole je mogoče izmeriti s čisto smolo ali smolo v raztopini. Dve najpogosteje uporabljeni metodi za merjenje barv sta metoda na osnovi lestvice USDA in metoda na osnovi Gardnerjeve barvne lestvice. V dodatku A so navedene informacije o povezanosti teh dveh lestvic.

varnishes" in collaboration with Technical Committee CEN/TC 139 “Paints and varnishes” the secretariat of
which is held by DIN.

text or by endorsement, at the latest by January 2013, and conflicting national standards shall be withdrawn at
