Space engineering standards - Policy and principles
This standard, which is informative in nature, contains the basic rules and overall principles to be applied to all engineering activities during performance of a space project. It addresses the establishment, based on customer needs, of mission objectives, requirements and specifications for space systems, and the design, definition, production, verification, operation, and eventual disposal of the systems themselves.

Sie befaßt sich mit der auf den Kundenerfordernissen basierenden Aufstellung der Missionsziele, Anforderungen und Spezifikationen für Raumfahrtsysteme sowie mit Design, Definition, Produktion, Verifikation, Betrieb und letztlich Entsorgung der Systeme selbst.

La présente norme est de nature informative; elle répertorie les règles élémentaires et les principes généraux à appliquer à toutes les activités d'ingénierie au cours du déroulement d'un projet spatial. Elle concerne la définition, sur la base des besoins du client, des objectifs de mission, des exigences et des spécifications des systèmes spatiaux, ainsi que la conception, la définition, la production, la vérification, l'exploitation et éventuellement le retrait de service des systèmes eux-mêmes.
