Respiratory protective devices - Power assisted particle filtering devices incorporating full face masks, half masks or quarter masks - Requirements, testing, marking

This European Standard specifies minimum requirements for power assisted respiratory protection devices which incorporate a full face mask, half mask or a quarter mask together with a particle filter. It does not cover devices designed for use in circumstances where there is or might be an oxygen deficiency (oxygen less than 17 % by volume). It does not cover respiratory protective devices designed for escape purposes.  Laboratory and practical performance tests are included for the assessment of compliance with the requirements.

Diese Europäische Norm legt Mindestanforderungen für Vollmasken, Halbmasken oder Viertelmasken mit Partikelfiltern und Gebläse fest, die zu Atemschutzzwecken verwendet werden. Sie gilt nicht für Fluchtgeräte und nicht für Geräte, die für die Verwendung bei möglichem Sauerstoffmangel (Sauerstoffgehalt der Umgebungsluft weniger als 17 Vol. -%) vorgesehen sind. Sie enthält Laborprüfungen, um die Übereinstimmung mit den Anforderungen feststellen zu können.

La présente Norme Européenne spécifie les caractéristiques minimales à exiger des appareils de protection respiratoire à ventilation assistée avec masques complets, demi-masques ou quarts de masques avec filtre à particules. Elle ne concerne pas les appareils destinés à être utilsés dans des circonstances où il y a ou il peut y avoir un défaut d'oxygène (concentration en oxygène inférieure à 17 % en volume). Elle ne concerne pas non plus les appareils destinés à l'évacuation
