Safety requirements for wetlaid-nonwoven machinery (ISO 22291:2022)

This document specifies safety requirements and means of verification for wetlaid-nonwoven machinery.
This document applies to wetlaid-nonwoven machines, including approach flow system, headbox, wire section and jet head, hydroentangling unit, dryer, finishing, quality control system (QCS), winder, drives and control system. Annex C illustrates general wetlaid-nonwoven machinery and their components.
It deals with all significant hazards, hazardous situations and hazard events relevant to wetlaid-nonwoven machines, when used as intended and under the conditions foreseeable by the manufacturer.
This document does not deal with pressure hazards in steam-heated drying cylinders and does not apply to equipment under pressure.
This document does not apply to machines which are intended for use in explosive atmospheres.
This document does not apply to wetlaid-nonwoven machines which have been manufactured before the date of publication of this document.

Dieses Dokument gilt für Nassvliesmaschinen, einschließlich Konstantteil, Stoffauflauf, Siebpartie und Düsenkopf, Wasserstrahlverfestigungseinrichtung, Trockner, Veredelungseinrichtung, Qualitätsprüfsystem (QCS, en: quality control system), Wickler, Antriebe und Steuerung. Anhang C zeigt allgemeine Nassvliesmaschinen und deren Komponenten.
Es behandelt alle signifikanten Gefährdungen, Gefährdungssituationen und Gefährdungsereignisse, die auf die Nassvliesmaschinen zutreffen, wenn sie bestimmungsgemäß und unter den vom Hersteller vorhersehbaren Bedingungen verwendet werden.

Le présent document spécifie les exigences de sécurité et les moyens de vérifications s’appliquant aux machines de production de non tissés par voie humide.
Le présent document s'applique aux machines de production de non tissés par voie humide, y compris au circuit de tête, à la caisse de tête, à la section de fil et la tête à jet, à l'unité d’enchevêtrement par eau, au séchoir, au finissage, au système de contrôle de la qualité (QCS), au bobinoir, aux entraînements et au système de commande. Les machines courantes de production de non tissé par voie humide et leurs composants sont illustrées à l’Annexe C.
Elle traite de tous les phénomènes dangereux, situations dangereuses et événements dangereux significatifs qui sont pertinents pour les machines de production de non tissés par voie humide, lorsqu'elles sont utilisées normalement et dans les conditions prévisibles par le fabricant.
Le présent document ne traite pas des phénomènes dangereux liés à la pression dans les cylindres sécheurs chauffés à la vapeur et il ne s’applique pas aux équipements sous pression.
Le présent document ne s'applique pas aux machines destinées à être utilisées en atmosphères explosives.

Ta dokument določa varnostne zahteve in načine preverjanja za mokre postopke netkalskih strojev.
Ta dokument se uporablja za mokre postopke netkalskih strojev, vključno z dovajalnim sistemom za natok, dovajalno enoto, sejalnim
sistemom in brizgalno glavo, enoto za iglanje z vodnim curkom, sušilnikom, sistemom dodelave, sistemom za nadzor kakovosti (QCS), navijalnikom, pogoni
ter krmilnim sistemom. Splošni netkalski stroji za mokre postopke in njihovi sestavni deli so prikazani v dodatku C.
Obravnava vsa večja tveganja, nevarne situacije in nevarne dogodke v zvezi z mokrimi postopki netkalskih strojev, kadar se ti stroji uporabljajo v skladu s predvidenim namenom in pod pogoji pričakovane nepravilne uporabe, ki jih določa proizvajalec.
Ta dokument ne obravnava nevarnosti tlaka v parno ogrevanih sušilnih cilindrih in se ne uporablja za opremo pod tlakom.

This document (EN ISO 22291:2022) has been prepared by Technical Committee ISO/TC 72 "Textile
machinery and accessories" in collaboration with Technical Committee CEN/TC 214 “Textile machinery
and accessories” the secretariat of which is held by SNV.
This European Standard shall be given the status of a national standard, either by publication of an
identical text or by endorsement, at the latest by September 2022, and conflicting national standards
shall be withdrawn at the latest by September 2022.
Attention is drawn to the possibility that some of the elements of this document may be the subject of

This European Standard has been prepared under a Commission’s standardization request “M/396
Mandate to CEN and CENELEC for Standardisation in the field of machinery” to provide one voluntary
means of conforming to essential requirements of Directive 2006/42/EC of the European Parliament
and of the Council of 17 May 2006 on Machinery, and amending Directive 95/16/EC (recast).
Once this standard is cited in the Official Journal of the European Union under that Directive,
compliance with the normative clauses of this document given in Table ZA.1 confers, within the limits of
the scope of this standard, a presumption of conformity with the corresponding essential requirements
of that Directive, and associated EFTA regulations.
