Protective clothing for firefighters - Requirements and test methods for protective clothing for firefighting

This standard specifies test methods and minimum requirements for clothing to be worn during firefighting operations and associated activities where there is a risk of heat and/or flame.   This standard covers the general clothing design, the minimum performance levels of the materials used, and the methods of test for determining these performance levels. The required performance levels may be achieved by the use of one or more garments.  It does not cover special clothing for use in high risk situations, e.g. fire entry suits, or clothing for use in long term firefighting operations in high ambient temperature, e.g. forest fighting. It does not cover protection for the head, hands and feet or protection against other hazards, e.g. chemical, biological, radiation and electrical hazards. These aspects may be dealt with in other standards.

Schutzkleidung für die Feuerwehr - Prüfverfahren für Schutzkleidung für die Brandbekämpfung

Diese Norm legt die Prüfverfahren und die Mindestanforderungen für Kleidungen fest, die bei Feuerwehreinsätzen und damit verbundenen Aktivitäten getragen wird, wo Risiken durch Hitze und/oder Flammen vorliegen. Diese Norm beinhaltet die allgemeine Ausführung der Kleidung, die Mindestleistungsanforderungen an die Bestimmung dieser Leistungsstufen. Sie beinhaltet nicht den Schutz des Kopfes, der Hände und der Füsse, sowie besondere Kleidung für Hochrisiko-Einsätze, z.B. Flammeneintrittsanzüge, oder den Schutz gegen andere Gefahren (Strahlung, chem., biolog. und elektr.).

Vêtements de protection pour sapeurs pompiers - Exigences et méthodes d'essai pour les vêtements de protection pour la lutte contre l'incendie

La présente norme spécifie les méthodes d'essai et les exigences minimales requises des vêtements devant être portés dans le cadre d'interventions pour la lutte contre l'incendie et d'activités associées, dans des zones présentant un risque de chaleur et/ou de flamme. Elle traite de la conception générale du vêtement, et des méthodes d'essais pour déterminer ceux-ci. La présente norme ne traite pas de la protection de la tête, des mains et des pieds, des vêtements spéciaux utilisés dans les situations à risques élevés.
