This document defines terms related to carbon nano-objects in the field of nanotechnologies.
It is intended to facilitate communication between organizations' and individuals' research, industry and other interested parties and those who interact with them. Additional terms and definitions for graphene and two-dimensional materials (2D) materials are provided in ISO/TS 80004-13.
Related carbon nanoscale materials are given in Annex A.

Dieses Dokument definiert Benennungen zu Kohlenstoff-Nanoobjekten für das Gebiet der Nanotechnologie.
Ziel ist die Erleichterung der Kommunikation zwischen in der Forschung tätigen Organisationen und Einzelpersonen, der Industrie und anderen interessierten Parteien und denjenigen, die mit ihnen zusammenarbeiten. Weitere Benennungen und Definitionen zu Graphen und zweidimensionalen (2D) Materialien sind in ISO/TS 80004 13 enthalten.
Verwandte nanoskalige Kohlenstoffmaterialien sind in Anhang A angegeben.

Le présent document définit une liste de termes liés aux nano-objets carbonés dans le domaine des nanotechnologies.
Elle est destinée à faciliter la communication entre différents organismes et membres de la recherche, l'industrie, et d'autres parties intéressées ainsi que leurs interlocuteurs. Des termes et définitions supplémentaires pour le graphène et les matériaux bidimensionnels (2D) sont donnés dans l'ISO/TS 80004-13.
Des matériaux carbonés connexes à l'échelle nanométrique sont donnés à l'Annexe A.

This Technical Specification (CEN/TS) was approved by CEN on 26 October 2020 for provisional application.
The period of validity of this CEN/TS is limited initially to three years. After two years the members of CEN will be requested to
submit their comments, particularly on the question whether the CEN/TS can be converted into a European Standard.
CEN members are required to announce the existence of this CEN/TS in the same way as for an EN and to make the CEN/TS
available promptly at national level in an appropriate form. It is permissible to keep conflicting national standards in force (in
parallel to the CEN/TS) until the final decision about the possible conversion of the CEN/TS into an EN is reached.
CEN members are the national standards bodies of Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia,
Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Norway,
Poland, Portugal, Republic of North Macedonia, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey and
United Kingdom.
