Protective clothing against liquid chemicals - Performance requirements for chemical protective clothing offering limited protective performance against liquid chemicals (Type 6 and Type PB [6] equipment)

This document specifies the minimum requirements for limited use and re-useable limited performance chemical protective clothing. Limited performance chemical protective clothing is intended for use in cases of a potential exposure to a light spray, liquid aerosols or low pressure, low volume splashes, against which a complete liquid permeation barrier (at the molecular level) is not required.
This document covers both chemical protective suits (Type 6) and partial body protection (Type PB [6]).
Chemical protective suits (Type 6) cover and protect at least the trunk and the limbs, e.g. one-piece coveralls or two piece suits, with or without hood, boot-socks or boot-covers. This document specifies minimum requirements for the connections between different parts of Type 6 suits by the use of a reduced whole suit spray test using a variant of EN 468:1994, as described in 5.2.
Partial body protection of similar limited performance (Type PB [6]) covers and protects only specific parts of the body, e.g. coats, aprons, sleeves etc. They should not be tested to the whole suit test (5.2).

Dieses Dokument legt die Mindestanforderungen an Chemikalienschutzkleidung mit eingeschränkter
Schutzwirkung einschließlich wiederverwendbarer Schutzkleidung fest. Chemikalienschutzkleidung mit
eingeschränkter Schutzwirkung ist für die Verwendung in Fällen einer möglichen Exposition gegenüber
leichter Chemikalienversprühung, flüssigen Aerosolen oder mit niedrigem Druck auftreffenden Spritzern
geeignet, gegen die eine vollständige Barriere gegen Flüssigkeitspermeation (auf molekularer Ebene) nicht
erforderlich ist.
Dieses Dokument gilt für beide, die Chemikalienschutzbekleidungen (Typ 6) und den Teilkörperschutz (Typ
PB [6]).
Chemikalienschutzanzüge (Typ 6) bedecken und schützen mindestens den Rumpf und die Lenden, z. B.
einteilige Overalls und zweiteilige Anzüge mit oder ohne Haube, mit oder ohne Füßlinge oder Überschuhe.
Dieses Dokument legt auch die Mindestanforderungen für die Verbindungen zwischen den verschiedenen
Teilen von Typ-6-Anzügen durch Anwendung eines abgeschwächten Spray-Tests für den ganzen Anzug
mittels einer Variante von EN 468 fest, wie in 5.2 beschrieben.
Teilweiser Körperschutz mit ähnlicher eingeschränkter Schutzwirkung (Typ PB [6]) bedeckt und schützt nur
einen Teil des Körpers, wie z. B. Kittel oder Schürzen, Ärmel usw. Sie sollten jedoch nicht mit dem Test für
den ganzen Anzug (5.2) geprüft werden.

Vêtements de protection contre les produits chimiques liquides - Exigences relatives aux vêtements de protection chimique offrant une protection limitée contre les produits chimiques liquides (équipement de type 6 et Type PB (6))

La présente Norme européenne spécifie les exigences minimales relatives aux vêtements de protection chimique à usage limité ou réutilisables offrant une protection limitée. Les vêtements de protection chimique à usage limité sont conçus pour être utilisés en cas d'exposition probable à de légères pulvérisations, aux aérosols liquides ou à basse pression, de légères éclaboussures, contre lesquels une barrière totale contre la perméation des liquides (au niveau moléculaire) n'est pas nécessaire.
La présente norme européenne couvre à la fois les combinaisons de protection chimique (Type 6) et les articles  ne couvrant qu'une partie du corps (Type PB [6]).
Les combinaisons de protection (Type 6) couvrent et protègent au moins le tronc et les membres, comme par exemple les combinaisons une pièce ou deux-pièces, avec ou sans capuche, bottes ou sur-bottes. La présente Norme européenne spécifie les exigences minimales pour les jonctions entre les différentes parties des combinaisons de Type 6 par la réalisation d'un essai au brouillard réduit sur la combinaison complète utilisant une variante de l'EN 468, comme décrit en 5.2.
Les vêtements de protection couvrant partiellement le corps et offrant une performance limitée semblable (Type PB [6]), couvrent et protègent des parties spécifiques du corps, comme par exemple vestes, tabliers, manches, etc. Ils ne doivent pas être soumis à l'essai de la combinaison complète (5.2).
