This European Standard defines the requirements for the ordering, manufacture, testing, inspection and delivery of aluminium alloy wrought forging stock (produced by extrusion or hot rolling) and cast forging stock. It shall be applied when referred to and in conjunction with the EN material standard, normally when the forging stock manufacturer is not the producer of the corresponding forgings.

Diese Europäische Norm legt die Anforderungen für die Bestellung, Herstellung, Prüfung, Inspektion und Lieferung von stranggepresstem oder gewalztem Schmiedevormaterial aus Aluminiumlegierung (hergestellt durch Strangziehen oder Warmwalzen) und von gegossenem Schmiedevormaterial aus Aluminiumlegierung fest. Sie ist anzuwenden, sofern auf sie verwiesen wird, sowie in Verbindung mit der EN Werkstoffnorm, üblicherweise wenn der Hersteller des Schmiedevormaterials nicht der Hersteller der entsprechenden Schmiedestücke ist.

Ta evropski standard določa zahteve za naročanje, proizvodnjo, preskušanje, pregled in dobavo aluminija in aluminijevih gnetenih kovnih materialov (izdelanih z ekstrudiranjem ali vroče valjanih) ter ulitih kovnih materialov. Uporablja se, kadar se nanj sklicuje, in v povezavi s standardom za materiale EN, običajno, kadar proizvajalec kovnih materialov ni proizvajalec ustreznih kovanih izdelkov.
