ISO 14341:2010 specifies requirements for classification of wire electrodes and weld deposits in the as-welded condition and in the post-weld heat-treated condition for gas shielded metal arc welding of non alloy and fine grain steels with a minimum yield strength of up to 500 MPa or a minimum tensile strength of up to 570 MPa. One wire electrode can be tested and classified with different shielding gases.
ISO 14341:2010 constitutes a combined specification providing classification utilizing a system based upon the yield strength and the average impact energy of 47 J of all-weld metal, or utilizing a system based upon the tensile strength and the average impact energy of 27 J of all-weld metal.
Clauses and tables which carry the suffix letter “A” are applicable only to wire electrodes classified to the system based upon the yield strength and the average impact energy of 47 J of all-weld metal in accordance with ISO 14341:2010.
Clauses and tables which carry the suffix letter “B” are applicable only to wire electrodes classified to the system based upon the tensile strength and the average impact energy of 27 J of all-weld metal in accordance with ISO 14341:2010.
Clauses and tables which have neither the suffix letter “A” nor the suffix letter “B” are applicable to all wire electrodes classified in accordance with ISO 14341:2010.

Diese Internationale Norm legt Anforderungen zur Einteilung von Drahtelektroden und Schweißgut zum Metall-Schutzgas¬schweißen von unlegierten Stählen und Feinkornbaustählen mit einer Mindeststreckgrenze bis 500 MPa oder einer Mindestzugfestigkeit bis 570 MPa im Schweißzustand und nach einer Wärmenachbehandlung fest. Eine Drahtelektrode kann mit verschiedenen Schutzgasen geprüft und eingeteilt werden.
Diese Internationale Norm enthält eine gemeinsame Spezifikation zur Einteilung entweder nach der Streckgrenze und der durchschnittlichen Kerbschlagarbeit von 47 J des reinen Schweißgutes oder nach der Zugfestigkeit und der durchschnittlichen Kerbschlagarbeit von 27 J des reinen Schweißgutes.
a) Abschnitte und Tabellen, gekennzeichnet durch ein nachgestelltes „A“, können nur für Drahtelektroden angewendet werden, die nach der Streckgrenze und der durchschnittlichen Kerbschlagarbeit von 47 J des reinen Schweißgutes nach dieser Internationalen Norm eingeteilt werden.
b) Abschnitte und Tabellen, gekennzeichnet durch ein nachgestelltes „B“, können nur für Draht¬elektroden angewendet werden, die nach der Zugfestigkeit und der durchschnittlichen Kerbschlagarbeit von 27 J des reinen Schweißgutes nach dieser Internationalen Norm eingeteilt werden.
c) Abschnitte und Tabellen, die kein nachgestelltes „A“ oder „B“ enthalten, sind für alle nach dieser Internationalen Norm eingeteilten Drahtelektroden anwendbar.

L'ISO 14341:2010 spécifie les exigences de classification des fils-électrodes et métaux d'apport déposés dans l'état brut de soudage et à l'état traité thermiquement après soudage, en soudage à l'arc sous protection gazeuse des aciers non alliés et à grains fins ayant une limite d'élasticité minimale pouvant atteindre 500 MPa ou une résistance à la traction minimale pouvant atteindre 570 MPa. Un même fil-électrode peut être soumis à essai et classifié avec des gaz de protection différents.
L'ISO 14341:2010 constitue une spécification combinée permettant une classification utilisant un système fondé sur la limite d'élasticité et l'énergie de rupture moyenne de 47 J d'un métal fondu hors dilution, ou utilisant un système fondé sur la résistance à la traction et l'énergie de rupture moyenne de 27 J d'un métal fondu hors dilution.
Les articles et les tableaux portant le suffixe «A» s'appliquent uniquement aux fils-électrodes classifiés selon le système fondé sur la limité d'élasticité et l'énergie de rupture moyenne de 47 J d'un métal fondu hors dilution, conformément à l'ISO 14341:2010 .
Les articles et les tableaux portant le suffixe «B» s'appliquent uniquement aux fils-électrodes classifiés selon le système fondé sur la résistance à la traction et l'énergie de rupture moyenne de 27 J d'un métal fondu hors dilution, conformément à l'ISO 14341:2010 .
Les articles et les tableaux ne comportant ni le suffixe «A» ni le suffixe «B» s'appliquent à tous les fils-électrodes classifiés selon l'ISO 14341:2010 .

Ta mednarodni standard določa zahteve za klasifikacijo varilnih žic in čistih varov v varjenem stanju in s toplotno obdelavo po varjenju za obločno varjenje nelegiranih in drobnozrnatih jekel z minimalno mejo prožnosti do 500 MPa ali minimalno natezno trdnostjo do 570 MPa. Ena varilna žica je lahko preskušena in razvrščena z različnimi zaščitnimi plini. The text of ISO 14341:2010 has been prepared by Technical Committee ISO/TC 44 “Welding and allied
processes” of the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and has been taken over as EN ISO
14341:2011 by Technical Committee CEN/TC 121 “Welding” the secretariat of which is held by DIN.
This European Standard shall be given the status of a national standard, either by publication of an identical
text or by endorsement, at the latest by July 2011, and conflicting national standards shall be withdrawn at the
latest by July 2011.
Attention is drawn to the possibility that some of the elements of this document may be the subject of patent
rights. CEN [and/or CENELEC] shall not be held responsible for identifying any or all such patent rights.
This document supersedes EN ISO 14341:2008.
