Medical devices - Electrically-generated alarm signals

This European Standard specifies the characteristics of electrically generated signals intended for use with medical devices, either individually or as part ofa centralized system. This European Standard applies only if a particular devicestandard makes reference to it. It is expected that requirements for the application of the signals specified in this standard will be included in particular standards for particular medical devices.

Medizinische Geräte - Elektrisch erzeugte Alarmsignale

Diese Europäische Norm legt die Merkmale elektrisch erzeugter Signale fest, die sowohl einzeln als auch als Teil eines integrierten Systems, zur Verwendung in medizinischen Geräten vorgesehen sind. Diese Europäische Norm gilt nur, wenn eine gerätespezifische Norm hierauf Bezug nimmt. Es wird erwartet, daß Anforderungen für die Anwendung der in dieser Norm angegebenen Signale in die besonderen Festlegungen für bestimmte medizinische Geräte aufgenommen werden.

Cette norme européenne prescrit les caractéristiques des signaux électriques conçus pour les dispositifs médicaux et correspondant à un élément isolé ou intégré dans un système centralisé. Il est prévu que les prescriptions concernant l'application des signaux spécifiés dans la présente norme soient incorporés dans les normes européennes propres à chaque dispositif médical.
