Household and similar electrical appliances - Safety - Part 2-75: Particular requirements for commercial dispensing appliances and vending machines

IEC 60335-2-75:2012 deals with the safety of electric commercial dispensing appliances and vending machines for preparation or delivery of food, drinks and consumer products, their rated voltage being not more than 250 V for single-phase appliances and 480 V for other appliances. Examples of appliances that are within the scope of this standard are bulk tea or coffee brewing machines, cigarette vending machines, coffee grinders, commercial liquid heaters, coffee makers with or without integrated coffee grinder, coffee makers with cooling systems, hot and cold beverage vending machines, hot water dispensers, ice cream and whipped cream dispensers, ice dispensers, newspaper, audio or video tape or disc vending machines, packaged food and drink vending machines and refrigerated merchandisers. Appliances can have more than one function. Other standards may be applicable for some functions such as refrigeration (IEC 60335-2-24) and heating by microwaves (IEC 60335-2-25). This standard also deals with the hygiene aspects of appliances. As far as is practicable, this standard deals with the common hazards presented by appliances that are encountered by users and maintenance persons. However, in general, it does not take into account young children playing with the appliance. This third edition cancels and replaces the second edition published in 2002 including its Amendment 1 (2004) and its Amendment 2 (2008). It constitutes a technical revision. The principal changes in this edition as compared with the second edition of IEC 60335-2-75 are as follows: some notes have been deleted or converted to normative text (5.2, 5.6, 5.104, 7.12.1, 7.12.101.1, 11.2, 11.8, 15.2.103, 15.2.104, 15.2.106, 15.2.109, 15.2.111, 19.102, 19.6, 19.13, 19.101, 22.6, 22.7, 22.112, 22.113, 22.114, 24.102, 27.2), added requirements for espresso coffee makers in 3.115, 22.114 and throughout standard, modified 11.4 to address heating appliances with electronic process controls and 11.6 to address combined appliances without electronic process controls, modified Clause 22 to indicate that pressure regulating devices are to be rendered inoperable and deleted ISO 13732-1 from Bibliography. The attention of National Committees is drawn to the fact that equipment manufacturers and testing organizations may need a transitional period following publication of a new, amended or revised IEC publication in which to make products in accordance with the new requirements and to equip themselves for conducting new or revised tests. It is the recommendation of the committee that the content of this publication be adopted for implementation nationally not earlier than 12 months or later than 36 months from the date of publication. La CEI 60335-2-75:2012 traite de la sécurité des distributeurs commerciaux électriques avec ou sans moyen de paiement, destinés à la préparation et à la distribution d'aliments, de boissons et de produits de consommation, leur tension assignée n'étant pas supérieure à 250 V pour les appareils monophasés et à 480 V pour les autres appareils. Comme exemples d'appareils entrant dans le domaine d'application de la présente norme, on peut citer les machines à thé ou à café en vrac, les distributeurs avec moyen de paiement de cigarettes, les moulins à café, les appareils de chauffage des liquides à usage commercial, les cafetières avec ou sans moulin à café intégré, les cafétières avec système réfrigérant, les distributeurs avec moyen de paiement de boissons chaudes ou froides, les distributeurs d'eau chaude, les distributeurs de crème glacée ou de crème fouettée, les distributeurs de glace, les distributeurs avec moyen de paiement de journaux, de bandes ou disques audio ou vidéo, les distributeurs avec moyen de paiement de boissons et de nourriture sous emballage et les présentoirs réfrigérés. Les appareils peuvent avoir plusieurs fonctions. D'autres normes peuvent être applicables pour certaines fonctions telles que la réfrigération (CEI 60335-2-24) et le chauffage par micro-ondes (CEI 60335-2-25). La présente norme traite également des aspects relatifs à l'hygiène des appareils. Dans la mesure du possible, la présente norme traite des risques ordinaires présentés par les appareils, encourus par les utilisateurs et les agents d'entretien. Cependant, cette norme ne tient pas compte en général de l'emploi de l'appareil comme jouet par des jeunes enfants. Cette troisième édition annule et remplace la deuxième édition parue en 2002, y compris son Amendement 1 (2004) et son Amendement 2 (2008). Elle constitue une révision technique. Par rapport à la deuxième édition de la CEI 60335-2-75, les principales modifications indiquées ci-après ont été apportées dans la présente édition; certaines notes ont été supprimées ou converties en texte normative (5.2, 5.6, 5.104, 7.12.1, 7.12.101.1, 11.2, 11.8, 15.2.103, 15.2.104, 15.2.106, 15.2.109, 15.2.111, 19.102, 19.6, 19.13, 19.101, 22.6, 22.7, 22.112, 22.113, 22.114, 24.102, 27.2), ajout d'exigences pour les cafetières expresso en 3.115, 22.114 et dans toute la norme, modification de 11.4 en vue de traiter des appareils chauffants munis de dispositifs de commande de processus électroniques et de 11.6 en vue de traiter des appareils combinés exempts de dispositifs de commande de processus électroniques, modification de l'Article 22 en vue d'indiquer que les dispositifs de régulation de pression doivent à présent être dans l'impossibilité de fonctionner, suppression de l'ISO 13732-1 de la Bibliographie. L'attention des Comités Nationaux est attirée sur le fait que les fabricants d'appareils et les organismes d'essai peuvent avoir besoin d'une période transitoire après la publication d'une nouvelle publication CEI, ou d'une publication amendée ou révisée, pour fabriquer des produits conformes aux nouvelles exigences et pour adapter leurs équipements aux nouveaux essais ou aux essais révisés. Le comité recommande que le contenu de cette publication soit entériné au niveau national au plus tôt 12 mois et au plus tard 36 mois après la date de publication. This amendment A11 modifies the European Standard EN IEC 60335-2-75:2023; it was approved by CENELEC on 2020-11-16. CENELEC
members are bound to comply with the CEN/CENELEC Internal Regulations which stipulate the conditions for giving this amendment the
status of a national standard without any alteration.
Up-to-date lists and bibliographical references concerning such national standards may be obtained on application to the CEN-CENELEC
Management Centre or to any CENELEC member.
This amendment exists in three official versions (English, French, German). A version in any other language made by translation under the
responsibility of a CENELEC member into its own language and notified to the CEN-CENELEC Management Centre has the same status as
the official versions.
